Beef & Liberty (B&L) is a burger specialist with a place at the ground floor of the Stanley Plaza. They have a large indoor seating area with relaxed environs and good table spacing. There are a few outdoor tables as well. Opening hours are 11.30am to 9pm (weekdays) and 10am to 9pm (weekends). You can do take-away and delivery in the area if preferred. I recently had lunch at the Beef & Liberty in Stanley ordering the Black Pepper burger which was pretty good. Australian grass fed beef patty tasted just fine. Grilled nicely at medium rare with cracked pepper, Raclette cheese, rocket and onion jam. Bun held the burger together nicely. This was a good burger, not sure if you can find one better in Stanley. B&L also do very good shakes, making use of local XTC gelato and thick cream. The shakes are pretty thick, rich and sweet. My chocolate shake went very well with the burger. It was delicious.

Great air-conditioned place, for an awesome burger, on a hot summer's day in Stanley. Service was excellent. Our daughter enjoyed the quickly delivered crayons and princess colouring in sheet, while the adults appreciated the rest of the prompt and genuine attention. The lunchtime meal combinations (burger, fries and drink) are reasonably priced, especially considering the quality (and I'm not comparing it to the McDonald's next door). My vegetarian wife devoured the falafel burger, but wished it came with cheese. The rest of us meat eaters thoroughly enjoyed the beef and pork burger options. If a mixed fries option existed (combined potato and sweet potato), we all would have been in heaven. The kids option (burger, fries, salad, and drink) kept our little one busy long enough for us to enjoy a great lunch.

It is hard to decide whether to give this place 3 or 4 stars. I've come down on the 4 star side because the staff are so friendly and attentive. That said: it was a quiet Saturday evening with only 4 tables occupied. Anyway: there's no faulting the food. The hotdog is very good. And the burger is very tasty. The onion rings are really good and the fries are served with the right crispness. It's not the first visit to Beef & Liberty, so we knew what to expect. And we're happy. The problem is the pricing. Nearly 50$ for a small lime soda. As good as it is, that's just too much. 150$ for a burger. That is nearly USD 20. It just seems a lot for what you get. The staff are great, the seats are comfy and the setting is nicely done. So definitely a place to enjoy a very good burger. Just beware of the pricing.

I was at Stanley on Christmas Day with my partner and we decided to lunch in here based on the raving reviews. We ordered a Notorious P. I.G. based on a recent review recommending it - flavourful and spicy - a French cider and beer. We specifically mentioned for the onions and spring onions were to be served on the side but what we got was the coleslaw was served on the side of the burger. When were served the burger, we laughed off the mix-up and decided to dig in anyway. The pulled pork neither met my expectations of flavourful nor spicy. It was basically pulled pork doused in sweet hickory bbq sauce. The burger was a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you're a lover of burgers like myself. Save your hassle and money and dine in McDonald's nearby instead.

Go there only for the food. Friday 8pm barely anyone there, no music. The decoration, the setting, the silence make it a pretty cold atmosphere restaurant. Service wise : not great. It might be hard to find waiters at the moment. Sadly, we were served the starters and the mains together. Not ideal for enjoying your food in a relaxing way. Food wise, it’s tasty, the size is fair. The burgers are very nice, we had one bacon and cheese, one hamburger and one falafel one. We had one portion of classic fries and two sweet potatoes one (they are absolutely succulent btw). If you want a quick bite and not interested in the vibe of the place, go and make sure you ask for the starters and the main to be served one of the others. We thought it would be obvious.

First and foremost the waitress I had was phenomenal. She was super friendly, super helpful, recommended me things, chatted with me briefly (I'm traveling alone so it was nice), checked on me after I got my food, it was great. I got the Notorious P.I.G. pulled pork sandwich and it was quite good. Also sweet potato fries which were thick cut, which can be tricky for the sweet potato texture but these were so crispy on the outside and the zesty aioli whatever that came with was perfect. And I got a mint apple lemonade? And it was also super good on this gross sweaty summer's day. All in all 10/10 would recommend. P.s. the waitress said the black pepper burger is her personal favorite so maybe give that a go?
