Market Place (The Wai 圍方店) — Attraction in Hong Kong

Disappointing end of 2024 lunar year shopping experience at Market Place.

I have always been a loyal customer at this branch but I had a fairly unpleasant experience with the cashier today, 23rd January 2025 at 3pm. I asked for a transparent plastic bag for the fish I bought, the cashier was busy serving other customers so I asked, “who can I buy the bag from?”. I stood at the counter repeatedly asking the same question to her and her colleagues, because they ignored me. She handed the bag to me and said to another customer in a sarcastic manner “Sorry for the wait, this customer, you know…” lol what was she implying? I left the money at the counter and left feeling like a fool, because why on earth did I buy Chinese New Year goods there and got mocked by their employee? The problem would have solved much easier and pleasantly if I was directed to another colleague to just buy a bag.

Not going to visit this...

Good selection of food choice and its a bit like a maze when you walk around the grocery so the check out line you have to find where the line entrance is... Im giving two stars off for the (I assume the head of check out) personel who seems to think we are up to something ... we seemed to have lined in the wrong way for check out and she was standing right beside me when we were paying, forced herself to give a smile after payment. Was just waiting for her to say something which I doubt she will... thank goodness...

The supermarket is vast enough to shop what you want, but is difficult to locate in the mall, and you may give up going there if get lost in the mall with no visual guide at all. So go directly thru MTR Exit H if you just want the...
