Taking a journey to this park may be an enchanting experience where beautiful flowers 🪷shake eyes with their brilliance, birds🐦‍⬛ chirping and singing as they fly from branch to branch that enchant ears, and watching innocent children🧚🏻‍♂️ play on the ground fills soul with happiness.

➰Location & Accessibility It is easily accessible via public transportation, such as buses (get off at Macau Ferry Bus Terminus) and trams (get off at Eastern Street tram stop), and with a nearby MTR station located within walking distance (cross the road).

➰ Historical Significance: The name of the park is derived from Dr. Sun Yat-sen, who played a key role in overthrowing the Qing dynasty and founding the Republic of China.

➰ Park Features: Beautifully landscaped gardens with a variety of plants, trees, and flowers provide a serene environment in the park. There are well-maintained walking paths that encourage leisurely strolls or jogging. The park's recreation facilities include basketball courts, futsal, fitness exercise spots, and children's playgrounds, all designed to cater to families and fitness enthusiasts.

➰ Events and cultural elements: Cultural events and activities that celebrate local traditions and heritage are often held at the park, as well as outdoor fashion shows.

➰ Scenic Views: The panoramic views from here allow visitors to see not only the tranquil waters but also the stunning sights of Kowloon peninsula across Victoria Harbour. By incorporating open spaces into its design, the park offers unobstructed views that are ideal for photography enthusiasts and anyone looking to relax by the water. During the evening hours, many visitors come to see the stunning sunset views from the park.

➰ Visitor Amenities: For the comfort of visitors, there are amenities such restrooms, lounging places, a dog play area, drinking fountains and vending machines, a baby care room, a swimming pool, and indoor sports.

Visitors can either enjoy the picturesque waterfront or combine their trip with a visit to Macau because to the park's close proximity to the Macau ferry station.

🌊 By sitting down on a bench and observing the waves of the sea, the rhythmic sound of the waves crashing against the shore creates a soothing backdrop that can help you calm down and relax.

It is recommended for anyone looking to relax or engage in outdoor activities away from the hustle and bustle of...

The Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park is located along the Victoria Harbour waterfront in Sai Ying Pun just west of the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan. Formerly known as Western Park, this is a small leisure area that now pays hommage to Dr. Sun Yat Sen, known as the founder of the Republic of China.

Here you will find a large grassy lawn with a 5 metre tall bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yet Sen, the work of artist Zhu Dacheng. You can also see a traditional Chinese gateway entrance on the south of the lawn, a Chime Tower, reflection pool and structures on the promenade side next to the harbour. The park also includes a public swimming pool, football pitch, basketball court, children's playground area.

In the end, Hong Kong is always in need of urban parks and green space like the Sun Yet Sen Memorial Park and this is a good spot for those place for those who reside nearby to get off the busy streets to enjoy some grassy space and promenade waterfront on the harbour. For visitors, it is just fine as well. However, there are larger and more interesting parks not terribly far from here as well, most notably Hong Kong Park and the Hong Kong Zoological & Botanical Gardens in Central. These are better parks to...

It’s a very well crafted and maintained park as tribute to Sun Yat-Sen, a physician, political philosopher and statesman who is revered by both Mainland China and Taiwan. He’s considered to be among the greatest Chinese leaders who espoused the principles of Minzu (civic nationalism), Minquan (literally government of the people or democracy), and Minsheng (people’s welfare). The park is on the promenade of Hongkong Island giving a very good view of Victoria Harbor and Kowloon Peninsula across. There’s a public pool in the park. The park looks a favorite of locals for jogging, walking, picnics, and Taichi especially in the morning.
