Offering authentic Spanish dishes🇪🇸, La Paloma has recently launched a whole-new Chef’s Table Tasting Menu starting at $528pp with wine-pairing options🥂. From bite-size tapas🥘, savoury mains, hearty desserts to fruity wine, it has got you covered!
Tapas ▪️ 60-month Iberico Ham Platter ▪️ The Real Tomato Bread ▪️ Ham Croquettes
The chef would hand-cure the Iberico ham from the giant aged pig leg placed in the middle of the dining hall - what a tempting process to look at! The ham is sweet and salty, with an undertone of roasted nuts.
The tomato bread is a traditional Spanish dish. Diners first have to rub the toasted bread with fresh garlic and ripe tomato🍅, then drizzle it with olive oil and salt.
The ham croquettes are fried to perfection with a crunchy crust and a cheesy center🧀.
Pairing Wine: ▪️ Torello Brut Reserva This sparkling wine is refreshing with notes of mint, apple and pear, balancing the saltiness of the ham.
Starters ▪️ Spanish Beef Mini Burger ▪️ Traditional Roasted Suckling Pig
The mini burgers are extremely juicy with surprisingly intense flavour of beef🍔
The suckling pig has a perfectly brown and crispy skin, as well as a tender and moist center 😋
Pairing Wine: ▪️ Vina Esmeralda This white wine has quite a strong lemon aftertaste, pairing well with the savoury suckling pig🤤.
Mains ▪️ ½ Lobster Paella and Seafood Paella
The paella is gently seasoned but a bit dry. Luckily, the sour cream drizzles add some creaminess to it. The seafood on top includes lobster, fresh shrimps, mussels and clams, giving the paella great umami🤤.
Pairing Wine: ▪️Venta Las Vacas This red wine has plenty of ripe black fruit taste, giving it strong floral notes with a touch of sweet spice.
Desserts ▪️Basque burnt cheesecake, raspberry sorbet
The cheesecake is smooth and creamy. The zingy taste of raspberry sorbet perfectly balances the cheesiness of the cake.

1️⃣Salmon TNT the air baguette with the salmon, salmon roe, and sour cream, is it a Spanish version of Oyakodon?😂 But it tastes well highly recommend 2️⃣Ternera y foie gras The waitress will use the cooking torch to grill the wagyu in front of you, but I'm kinda disappointed the foie gras is in puree form. 3️⃣Steak Tartare Con Patatas Fritas the sesame oil tastes way too strong, can taste the beef well, the truffle paste on the fries is good though 4️⃣Rose & Roses Sangria I have not tried Sangria before, even for the classic version of red wine, this one is low-proof and good for chilling with friends. 5️⃣Cochinillo This one is OMG! Usually, the Hong Kong-style suckling pig is with crispy skin but no meat, and the sous vide cooked meat will not have the crispy texture. But it mixed with both good sides, with the crispy skin and tender meat, even the vegetables on the side taste well also. Order this dish, you will not regret it! 6️⃣La Gran Tabla Mixta (incl. Pan Con Tomate) The Iberico Ham is nutty and savory, the olives are fresh, but the cheese and salami are just so-so, and the tomato bread is good though. Maybe better order them separately and skip the cheese. 7️⃣Paella de dos sabores The risotto is full of lobster bisque taste, but it is kind of salty and the lobster does not have much meat. 8️⃣Fideua de Marisco This one is way too salty...... I need to squeeze the whole lemon on to make a more balanced taste, the mayonnaise is kind of redundant, just jlskip this dish thanks
Here will add a sparkler candle on top of your cake and help you take the Instax Pic, but the cake-cutting charge is $150 FYI. And the food portions were kind of small, even though we ordered food with a bill of $2399, my 2 friends and I still ate a five-inch lemon pie afterward then felt full. I think it's a good place to chill, but not the best place to fill...

@lapalomahk is named after a famous Barcelona nightclub and is one of the most authentic chirinquito tapas bars in HK. They are led by the head of the Asia Spanish Chefs Association and specialize in Spanish favourites like huevos, paella, roasted pigeon and sangria & cocktails — you can tell their standards by the heavy crowd of local Spanish diners. 🇪🇸
Tried their explicit dinner menu starting with some juicy and fresh oysters & some very creamy and fatty foie gras beef baguette toasted by torch fire 🔥 The cuttlefish “tagliatelle” also caught me off guard as it tastes just like carbonara pasta, while the beef cheek empanadas (tastes like fried dumplings 🥟) are a must-try for beef lovers 👍🏻 It’s a 9.5/10 for these tapas starters on taste, creativity and authenticity 💯
For mains, I don’t think anyone would miss their most famous squid ink paella cooked in their specially designed huge Asador clay oven. Colored with squid ink and braised in rich prawn sauce, the gigantic pan is covered with a thin layer of quality Spanish rice, allowing the seafood flavors to be saturated intensely and the rice to be grilled to Al dente 😍 The new & limited edition Traditional Valencia Paella (HK$328) & the Arròs a Banda (HK$398) are also avaliable from 14 Sep to 31 Oct.
Lastly, the basque burnt cheesecake is surprisingly as good as @lavina.hk! With the dish originating in Spain and no local HK cafes have been able to beat that yet, they’re able to bring out the light, gooey & creamy texture of the cake while juxtaposed by a scorched caramelized top layer 🤤🧀
