I recently had the pleasure of dining at a delightful restaurant that offered a diverse menu, and I must say, every dish was a testament to the chef's skill and creativity.
The Prawn Pakora Basket was a standout. The prawns were perfectly battered and fried to a crisp, maintaining their juiciness inside. The accompanying dipping sauce added a zesty kick that enhanced the dish beautifully.
The Lamb Vindaloo Samosa was another highlight. Each bite revealed a rich, spicy filling that was balanced perfectly with the flaky, golden pastry. It was a fantastic introduction to the meal.
The Dal Makhani was creamy and comforting, with a depth of flavor that only comes from slow cooking. It paired wonderfully with the aromatic Garlic Coriander Naan, which was soft, fluffy, and infused with just the right amount of garlic.
The Chicken Tikka Masala was a comforting classic. The chicken was marinated to perfection, grilled, and then enveloped in a rich, spiced tomato sauce that was both hearty and satisfying.
The Truffle Ricotta Cheese Naan was an innovative twist that took me by surprise. The truffle flavor was subtle yet luxurious, perfectly complementing the creamy ricotta. It was a unique addition that elevated the meal.
To finish, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was an indulgent treat. The warm, moist cake paired with the luscious toffee sauce was simply divine. It was the perfect sweet ending to a remarkable meal.
The Masala Chai Punch mocktail was refreshing and aromatic, capturing the essence of traditional chai with a modern twist. It was a delightful companion to the meal.
Equally impressive was the Very Berry mocktail. Bursting with fresh berry flavors, it was both tangy and sweet, making it a refreshing...

Read moreToday, I took my husband to celebrate his birthday at an Indian fusion cuisine restaurant Sepoy Mess, as he loves Indian food. Besides naan, every appetizer and main dish had surprises. While the familiar Indian spices were present, there was unexpectedly a refreshing twist! The grilled squid was tender and serve with a zesty lemon sauce that was very appetizing. The Arancini Tikka Chaat, featuring chickpeas and pomegranate sauce, was sweet and tangy, making it quite delightful; I even had some left to enjoy with naan. For the main course, the slow-cooked lamb rack was tender with a char taste.
The waitresses , Mangshi and Shristi, were very nice and professional. They introduced each dish as they were served. Mangshi knew it was my husband’s birthday, and after our meal, they surprised us with dessert and sang a birthday song as a thoughtful gesture. They even offered to take pictures for us, making the dinner a perfect ending.
Mangshi mentioned that the restaurant has a lunch set menu, and I hope to try...
