La Fortuna Rooms — Hotel in La Fortuna

For two college students who wanted to stay in a safe place that was relatively cheap while spending money on more pricey activities, La Fortuna Rooms was perfect. The owner was the nicest guy. I sprained my ankle while in CR and he was super attentive and would come up to my room to check on me and ask if I needed anything. Its right in the middle of town so everything is super close and you get more of a local vibe. The stay at La Fortuna rooms was very nice. Koky and his family are friendly people who help you with getting the right information to plan your stay in Arenal and surroundings. The apartment offers a well equipped kitchen and very clean rooms. It is located at the beginning of the village which makes it more quiet. Very basic accommodation for a short stay. There is a little garden behind at the parking lot. Terrasse was nice for having a quick bite at home. Not worth more than USD50 a night in 2024 money.
