While exploring fun adventures in Costa Rica, we came across a white water rafting tour that was originally recommended by our hotel—but the price was quite high. After a bit of searching, we found the same tour on TripAdvisor for almost half the price, so we booked it, not really knowing what to expect.

It was a rainy day, and the river looked wild, so we were a bit nervous at first. But our tour leader and rafting guide were incredible—so warm, fun, and deeply experienced. They knew exactly how to navigate the river and made sure we felt both safe and excited throughout the ride. Their energy and confidence truly made the trip unforgettable.

The rafting lasted around two hours, and it was an absolute blast—the best rafting experience we’ve ever had! But what made it even more special was the unexpected lunch and fresh fruit they served mid-way. We hadn’t anticipated any food, so it was a delightful surprise. And not just any snack—the lunch was delicious, and the fruit was super fresh and beautifully served. It was beyond our expectations and added such a thoughtful, hospitable touch to the whole experience.

I chose La Fortuna Rafting because they were a smaller local company and I prefer to support those (and their reviews were awesome). There were 7 clients on our trip. 3 friends went on raft w Bryan. My friend and I were on a raft w Jason and a wonderful Mom and her daughter. I was a rookie to white water rafting, a bit nervous.They did great in the safety/teaching measures that u need to know. As we're suiting up, 6 rafts w about 8 people each are getting in. Ugghh, I thought. I don't wanna play bumper rafts. We did not! Our group had 2 rafts w a total of 7 happy customers!! It was AMAZING! 😃! My "raft caption" Jason asked me to sit up front, Im so glad he did! I loved it! Great experience. Jasons skill, local knowledge and fun was top notch, as were the rapids. After bout 45 mins of rapids, break and fruit. Slower river now, we saw a Cayman on shore from a very safe distance. Super cool! Aimon was quick to respond to my rafting request less then 2 days out. He's also the guy that kayaks up for photos. After trip, we all had a delicious lunch. Hope my next rafting experience (kinda hooked) will be with such a great team! Many Thanks...

What a day! This company deserve a 5star+

From start till the end in one word WOW! They picked us up on the scheduled time at the hotel and brought us safe to the starting point. They gave us clear instructions and the adventure begon!

I was fun, crazy in a good way and learned also a lot about the nature, the river and the animals we crossed. We felt really safe at the boat and our capitan Yadher was so much fun and knew what he was doing! We stopped half way to eat some fruit and also had a swim in the river.

After we left the river we drove back and made a lunch stop at the monkey park. The food is one of the best we’ve eaten since and the surrounding is really nice in the middle of the country side.

We cannot thank this guys enough for making this day a blast. They made it really personal. That was for us a big plus! We loved the way they respect the nature and their culture. At the end we forgot one of our phones in the bus and the brought it back to the hotel.
