Luviji wine — Attraction in Grad Hvar

We walked slightly out of the town centre to reach this beautifully rustic winery and it was completely worth it!

We turned up and weren't sure if it was open so knocked and were invited into the small building used to make the wine where we were sat at large tables lit with candles. We tasted 4 of the 6 wines they make here and they were all delicious - especially the plavac mali red. The wine was accompanied by bread and homemade olive oil - the best we'd ever had!

The waiter was friendly, had a nice description of each wine and was more than happy to answer any questions we had.

This is a lovely little winery... All locally produced including the 'snack' which is a delicious board of cheeses, meat, little tomatoes, capers and bread - all produced at the winery except the bread!! Had a really enjoyable experience at this wine tasting. It is located within walking distance of Hvar town so no need to book a tour or travel.
