Palm Sea Beach Holiday Suites and Studios Apartments — Hotel in Larnaca

Well where to start, we booked an apartment and was surprised from day one with the contact we had from the apartments.||On arrival we were met as friends and were shown around the apartment by the duty manager who explained how everything worked.||We did have to change apartment on next and everything was ready when we were ready to move. Which I did not expect, and the cleaner even offered to help but only having a carry on bag each we were more than able to do it DIY style.||The apartments were spotless and there was everything you needed to cook a meal. But given the number of options we decided to eat.||Unlike other establishments the apartments are cleaned daily and linen in changed every few days. Towels are changed daily.||The beach is only a few minutes from the apartment and there are a good choice of places to eat within a 5 minute walk.||The city centre is a few minutes and the bus stop the same time away. There is a bar just a minute away.||We had no problem with noise and in fact at night you could smell the Barbque from a nearby restaurant. Which we did visit see separate review.||The owner Michael was a font of local knowledge and was more than happy to help with suggestions of places to visit and eat.||There was no noise at night even though Larnaca does not sleep until late at night. There is a mini market opposite which sells everything you need.||We cannot wait to visit again next year and have ready booked...

Firstly, we only paid €40 for the one night we stayed so didn't expect much. It is a bit run down and could do with some upgrading but it's not anywhere near as bad as other reviewers have said. I'm glad I ignored them and booked anyway. ||The owner is a very lovely man who allowed us to keep the room at no extra charge until 4pm as it was quiet and off-peak. ||The apt was clean, not sparkling by any means but in no way dirty.||Wifi was excellent.||Kitchen was more than well equipped. Lots of plates, pots, pans, cups and glasses etc. There is a washing machine, kettle, toaster, iron, hairdryer. Shower was decently powerful to have a proper shower. Toilet took a bit of encouragement to flush though. ||Downsides: Though the building itself was very quiet the noise from outside is very loud. I could hear the couple in the apts across the street like they were sat on the sofa next to me. I imagine it's a nightmare in peak season.||The balcony railings in our room on the 4th floor barely reached my hips and I'm 5'7''. Quite dangerous for kids or drunk adults.||TV was useless if you don't speak Greek. ||Would go again if the price was as low...

When we arrived the guy on the reception told us they had overbooking and they will move us in other hotel for one night. It was very close, but it's really not my problem if they can't manage the bookings! On the next day we had to pack everything and move to Palm Sea hotel and someone (maybe owner) told us he want to give us some compensation, but instead of that we got smaller room with noisy air condition, we could't even slept well! The Wi-Fi was real nightmare! I have even lost some money, cause of this damn internet! The owner said they fix it and on the next day guests complaining again! Me and other unlucky guests pay for rooms with Wi-Fi and I'm sure he didn't gave back money to anyone! Above the TV there was a hole with bricks.||Thanks God we were there only less than 3 days! For sure I won't go there again even...
