We turned up between 9 and 930 on a Saturday evening, it wasn’t too busy and we got a table no problem. After getting the menu we were approached a couple of times within 5 minutes to ask what we wanted. The 2nd time, the server actually said to be quick. They close at 1045 so we had plenty of time so maybe we misheard.. We got the starters, which were fine. But while we were eating them a server asked if we were ready for mains. We said no, obviously. 5 minutes later, as the last bit of starter went down the mains then turned up. They had to clear our starter plates to put down the mains. I’ve seen reviews that say service is prompt but that was ridiculous. To the server’s credit, she looked quite embarrassed by this. The stifado was a big plate of meat stew with some basic veg. Nice enough taste but very salty. I couldn’t finish it. The mousakka was ok, but didn’t have much aubergine in it - it was mostly courgette. My wife and I went here tonight 9th June 2019. What a surprise. This was the best restaurant i have ever been in and that includes everywhere I’ve been in the world. We both had steaks. I had a t bone and she had a fillet. Both cooked perfectly. The veg and the potatoes were also superb and the home grown green beans were amazing. The prices were amazing for what we had to eat. The staff were absolutely outstanding. Took time to speak to us and make us welcome. Thank you so much. They couldn’t do enough for us and whatever we asked for we got with no hassles at all. I will definitely be back before I go home. The complimentary brandy and orange liqueur and fresh fruit was a very nice touch. Do not walk by this restaurant without trying it. You will love it.
