We were very surprised that Pafos has quite so many Georgian restaurants. This was the one closest to our hotel and so the one we visited. Expecting fairly standard fare, and not a Georgian cuisine expert, I was very pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread and ajika dip, which was delicious and clearly made with love. The wines were also spectacular. After a short wait, enjoying the traditional mountain and city scenes on the TV, we got some khinkali, which are fantastic, and a shashlik and chakapuli stew. The shashlik (shashliks, two arrived on the plate which was frankly too much) was delicious. The pickled vegetables complemented it perfectly. My Russian partner enjoyed this hugely and we have now been motivated to make shashlik at home. I had ordered the chakapuli, and cannot state enough how nice it was. The tarragon wasn’t overpowering, the lamb was tender and juicy… this was the only dish I ate two of during our holiday. You cannot miss this. On top of that, the service is very friendly and warm. Our first visit was assisted by a witty Greek waitress; our second by the owner (I think!), who speaks four languages fluently and seemed very happy to feed us increasingly large portions. Nothing but love for this place. Generous portions, delicious and homely food, low prices…...
Read moreIf you want to leave disappointed and hungry, come here. They took our order and we waited 40+ mins to have the guy at the bar come tell us that the soup was not available and they also forgot that we ordered 2 khinkali, we never received them. We waited 1+ hour to eat and the replacement traditional soup I got was tasteless, the lamb chops my boyfriend got were mostly bones and the fries were salty due to literal delikat (condiment for soup) on them. The woman taking the order has some problems, cannot focus on one task and forgetting every customer request, even not paying attention to the customers coming in, they didn’t welcome us, nobody bothered coming to take our order for 15 mins, then when we asked to pay, the woman was folding towels in the back or moving around the location and taking other requests from other customers instead of giving us the check.after we asked the guy at the bar, he managed (super slow) to tell her again to come for us to pay.. then he gave us the receipt for cash when we asked for credit card payment..then the woman came back after 10 more mins for us to pay.. it is CHAOTIC. Would not recommend the food and the atmosphere, nothing was pleasant for us and we left...
Read moreI used to eat here a lot even though there were some negative reviews in local chats about rotten meat in kebabs, found in delivery items. The food is overall was always fine - and still is, but the service has gotten worse. I ate fish soup in the venue and ordered delivery too. And you know what - both times, in less than one week, I found broken mussel shells in it. See the photos. My order was returned, so no hard feelings about that, but it's simply dangerous! You can hurt your teeth, mouth or stomach and intestines if you swallow those shells! And it's been two times in a row!
Also please fire your waitress, I visited your restaurant in February 2025 and in August and both time she clearly saw me, even nodded, but then went away and did not bring the menu. I had to come to the bar and take it myself. Also, had to wait my bill for eternity both times. She is useless.
The food is good, but service is bad, guess I will stop visiting this place for a while...
