An Exemplary Library Experience for Families!
The Copenhagen Main Library is an absolute gem for families and a testament to what a modern library should be. As a parent, I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend quality time with my kids while fostering their love for reading and learning.
One of the standout features of this library is its dedicated floor for kids. From the moment we stepped onto the children's floor, my children were enthralled by the vibrant colors, inviting spaces, and the countless books that awaited them. The library has done a fantastic job of creating an atmosphere that sparks curiosity and encourages exploration.
The selection of children's books is truly remarkable. They cater to all ages and interests, ranging from classic tales to the latest releases. My kids were thrilled to discover new authors, discover diverse characters, and dive into a variety of genres.
The library's commitment to making the space kid-friendly is evident in the thoughtful amenities they provide. There are cozy reading nooks, comfortable seating, and even making the entire floor shoe free! The children's area is well-maintained and impeccably clean, creating a safe and inviting environment for little ones.
The Copenhagen Main Library is an absolute treasure for families. Its dedicated floor for children, vast selection of books, engaging activities, and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists. If you're seeking an enriching and enjoyable experience for your kids, this library should be at the top...
Read moreI have to say, the library is definitely not up to the caliber that I was expecting in a city like Copenhagen, especially given this is its "Main Library". This isn't to say it is bad, which it isn't, but it could really be a lot better.
To start with, the usable space is quite limited considering how large the library is. As a result, it becomes very crowded at times, especially the study areas and desks. Overall, the bookshelves are also very sparsely placed and too open, in my opinion.
There are lots of good aspects, however. WiFi is free for everyone, and the location of the library is excellent. Plus, the space is quite modern and clean, which is great.
Overall, the library is good. However, I think there are still improvements that can be made, especially given the library's status as the...
Read moreIts OK for taking books and for families, otherwise it is a mediocre library if compared with others. Unfortunately it doesn't really fit as a Main Library of a capital city. The acoustics are bad, the study places for groups are loud and often crowded, it doesn't have cabins to study in groups or individually in a more concentrated and silent way, they also removed the "musical" corner where it used to be instruments. The worst part, however, is the new "furniture" which doesn't allow to relax while reading or browsing through books. Instead, they have installed very uncomfortable boxes around which nobody uses. Overall a big waste of space, not user friendly for a diversity of readers, but popular with young...
