Oh what a great
wait, let’s go in order. This place has not a large choice, breakfast is simple and it’s sweet. No eggs, no pancakes, no toasts. So, if you’re into a morning sweetness, here you can be served. I’ve tried a filtered coffee (pity they don’t do V60), and an almond croissant. Now, the coffee was good, no frills, just good, but the croissant
oh gosh you need to try it! Although watch out for the filling as it runs from each and every crack on the sides. It is so good you really should not lose a single drop of it. Plus: if you are into ppl watching, the stools facing the big windows fit the bill. A well done simple breakfast.

We recently visited Democratic Coffee in Copenhagen and had a pleasant experience. Located near a synagogue, the outdoor atmosphere was a bit tense due to the presence of numerous police officers. Despite this, the café itself offered a cozy and welcoming environment inside. The drinks were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed their signature cardamom bun, which was fresh and delicious. The matcha was also top-notch, making it a great spot for a quick refreshment in the heart of the city. Overall, while the external vibe was slightly off-putting, the quality of the food and beverages at Democratic Coffee made it a worthwhile visit

I have been going to Democratic Coffee a countless number of times for several months in a row now. I always get served excellent black (filter) coffee and pastry/bread consistently.

I have engaged in extremely technical conversations about coffee with some of the staff members. These guys know what they are doing and, if they have the time, will be happy to share the knowledge.

The bread and pastry are insane too - my favourite croissant in town (sorry Hart and Mirabelle)!

Furthermore, the staff members are really nice and committed. I think they do a fantastic job that definitely honours the quality of their products. I have also noticed that at least some of them are from abroad and I really enjoy that cosmopolitan vibe.

Last but not least, their prices are really good.

For me, this is an iconic coffeeshop of Copenhagen. Well done!

Only one thing that could be nicer: the physical setting, which is good, but could be cozier, especially in the winter, when it feels good to be sitting indoor...
