I recently visited the Amber Museum and was fascinated by its rich history and connection to both Jurassic Park and the Dominican Republic. The museum's extensive collection of amber fossils provides a unique glimpse into the prehistoric past, showcasing the incredible biodiversity that once existed in the Dominican Republic. The connection to Jurassic Park is evident, as the amber fossils on display are similar to those used in the film to extract dinosaur DNA. The museum does an excellent job of explaining the scientific significance of amber and its role in preserving ancient life. Read moreVery inexpensive little museum with a lot of information and beautiful pieces. The air conditioning was very welcome on a hot afternoon, and there are restrooms for visitors to use. Our tour guide was wonderful. Enthusiastic, well informed, and she was able to answer questions from our kids and gear her presentation towards them. Aside from amber, there was also good information about tobacco and a cigar rolling demonstration which was great! I have to especially thank our tour guide because my son left his cruise card in the restroom and as we were leaving she literally chased us down the street to return it to us. Thank you Tatiana! You...

The second floor is accessible by elevator. The rooms are dimly lit for ambiance, but this makes some artifacts difficult to see. While he followed the script exactly, he did not yet have the confidence or knowledge to answer additional questions. He also appeared to be the only employee in the museum at the time and would have benefited...
