It was a 20 minute walk from the Safaa Hegazy Metro Station to the museum. The Museum's original form was Prince Ali Ibrahim's Palace. The site is located within a very calm and tranquil area. Not alot of visitors without tickets for entry (the security just took some info from our ID). Alot gets surprised knowing it is in Zamalek and that is due to its closure from 2010 to 2024, and there was no promotion for the place so it is not well known. On contrary, it should be because of the massive number of Fatimid, Abbasid and Turkish pieces and antiquities, the interior design itself is delightful with the royal personal rooms and let's not forget about the second section of the museum which is an Art Gallery, containing alot of magnificent pieces of famous artists like: Ahmed Sabry, Ragheb Aiad and Al Hussien Fawzy. The Backyard too with its wonderful sculptures dating back the 1980s. As I said it needs promotion and to be added to the traveling programs among the touristic...

I had a wonderful experience visiting the Islamic Ceramics Museum. The collection here is stunning, filled with intricate, carefully crafted pieces that showcase the beauty and depth of Islamic art. Each artifact, from vibrant tiles to elegantly decorated pottery, tells a story of cultural heritage and remarkable craftsmanship. The museum is beautifully organized and well-maintained, providing a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere to explore the artistry of past centuries.

The displays are thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to appreciate each piece up close. The museum itself is located in a lovely historic building, which adds to the charm of the visit. I especially enjoyed the way the lighting and layout allowed the colors and patterns on the ceramics to shine. If you’re interested in art, history, or simply looking for a unique cultural experience, this museum is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking to experience...

The museum was a house of prince of royal family member 100 years ago during the Kingdom of Egypt period from 1805 to 1952 in Andalusian design. It has a collection of Islamic antiques mainly from the Fatimid States in North Africa and other stuff from Mamluk and Ottoman period. Definitely worth a visit located in a good area in Zamalek next to Marriott Hotel. Whoever is interested in Islamic history should visit this museum along with the museum of Islamic Art and historical Mosques in old Cairo.
