The food was less than average & the service less than acceptable . I don't advice anyone to go there based on my experience .I went with my Friend on the second day of Eid last week , no one approach us to ask us where we want to set , so as welcoming from the very start it was bad , then we were able to find a table next the pool & sat there , we waited so long till the waiter came , i asked him for his name he didn't answer so i read the name tag his name was Osama , so after we gave him our order , he said " Isn't what you guys order too much for you " then i asked him what do you mean ? He repeated the same sentence , so i told him " You guys have take away right ? He said Yes , so i told him good" I found it very rude that he even ask such a question , then he said " it will take 30 minutes for the food to get ready is that okay , we said no worries. The food took 45 minutes to get ready & when i called to ask him about it , he didn't gave us the attention , he was angry or mad & fighting with the staff about something else , which brought such a bad energy to us . When we finally got our food , he said " I was right when i told you guys you ordered too much right ? We said no we are good " Who is he to allow him self to tell us what we want to order is good for us or too much for us !! That was so unprofessional & rude of him to say such a thing & he had the audacity to say it twice to us ! Last thing when we ask for the check , we asked him to take the rest of our food take away with us , he was not glad about it & when we got home we found out that they didn't put the half Cacadia that i left to take home with me nor the sauces that...
Read moreI WOULDNT come for the FOOD. Was so excited to come to this restaurant BUT Food here is so bland and tasteless, arguably the worse I ate my entire holiday (including street food). The buratta tasted weeks old and was super dry. The pesto pasta had no flavour nor did it have much pesto...tasted more like a pea cream pasta you make in college when you have no food. The chicken I ordered, which was a thigh (very hard to mess up) came to me so dry it was inedible. I sent it back. At this stage I just wanted to get out of the restaurant but the manager insisted on bringing me another chicken dish which was even worse than the first one...they bring the chicken ready cooked on a sizzling BBQ which was dry and had no salt and very little spice. The rice served with the food was rice that's obviously been keeped in a warmer making the rice dehydrated (simply reheating the rice in a pan with some butter would give some life back to it).
Honestly for a 5 star resort that food was left lacking all stars.
Hotel is AMAZING, location is AMAZING, ambiance is AMAZING, drinks are AMAZING...BUT the food is HORRIBLE.
Also saw 2 other tables around me sending food back...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars to this place, I would. Extremely rude and insulting behavior. I went there with my husband and friend seeing the photos. We are tourists from Canada. When we entered, we were not being attended at all. I had to go ask at the bar, and we were told to take a seat and wait. We asked atleast 5 different waiters, who passed by, serving other tables nearby. We just wanted them to start by opening the parasol because it was scorching heat. No one came! They kept on saying 1 minute, 2 minute until it was 30 minutes! They kept on ignoring us as if we did not even exist. I do not know if it was discrimination, because we were not egyptians or we were not wearing branded clothes. But this sort of behavior is unacceptable, especially it is ruining the image of such an iconic brand (Marriott). I have been to Marriott and its subsidairies in different counties and cities, but nowhere I got such pathetic behavior in the name of service! We waited an hour like that before we decided to leave in...
