Sip in Zamalek is a great spot and a great addition to the specialty coffee scene in Cairo.

Sadly there was none of their house blend available (due to import / financial issues faced in Egypt currently), but there were single origin options that still worked well with milk.

It was great to see the manager oversee every drink and plate of food that went out to ensure their quality standards were upheld.

My flat white had fantastic milk treatment, was well balanced and executed beautifully.

The staff are friendly and the manager was happy to chat and fill us in on the situation in Egypt and the latest in the coffee scene.

Its a beautiful place but the waiters all seem like gold diggers. When I got the wifi password they asked me for money and then said they were joking. That is a bad joke to do for a tourist because we often get taken advantage of by scammers so they need not to joke about money. Then they forgot half of my order. They gave me my drinks and then disappear. I had sat there for an half an hour. Then I remembered them of my sandwich and then they made it.
