My first visit to Maison Thomas remembered me a German song '1000 und 1 Nacht', which I quickly paraphrase in '1000 times passing by as a pedestrian, once intended to dine. but today it made ‘ZOOM’.

It was a Monday lunchtime, when I entered spontaneously in ‘Maison Thomas’ for the first time. A friendly waiter greeted me. A French black bistro style with long counter bar, ceiling-high mirror wall and window front with street view as well various spreaded high tables & stools. A very very cozy relaxed atmosphere - I loved it!

Maison Thomas’s menu offers among a wide range of options like starters, pizza, pasta, cold or hot sandwiches, meals, salads, drinks and desserts. My choice for today was a small NAPOLETANA with an extra topping arugula.

NAPOLETANA style pizza is known for its simplicity. You won’t find anything else than basil and mozzarella, olive oil, tomatoes, and a simple wheat dough in this historic pizza pie. Exactly this I get served at Maison Thomas! All used ingredients were delicious! I also liked that you can order small-medium or large pizza. Just the right choice for even the slightest hunger!

I don’t know why but today I also treated myself to a tiramisu dessert, which was absolutely perfect!.

Went as a family and got a shrimp pizza, Mexican pizza, and salami pizza Idr the specifics, but also chicken pane and milanese dishes, as well as Greek salad. Anyway the pizza crust was wayy too thin, its thinner than normal thin crust, the shrimp was slightly undercooked so it had a weird crunch to it + it wasnt seasoned well so the difference between its taste and the pizza it was sitting on was kinda obvious. Idk if that's the normal or just a one time thing. Mexican and salami pizzas were good but not spectacular. Greek salad was nice, esp the contrast between the cheese and the veggies. The chicken pane and Milanese were OK but you shouldn't get so much food if u can't handle it like I did. Their portions are a little odd, ull find that their small pizza can feed 1 person and they even fit in the plates. Aside from that, since this is zamalek there is obviously no parking, we had to wait abt 10min or so to get a seat in the restaurant, and when we got to the table we discovered too late that the chairs are high bar stools with no back so they were uncomfortable, so u had to constantly lean on the table for support instead.
