Pros: Good location great view (both of the Nile and the street) Service is good, the staff are very friendly and courteous. By the Metro this is iffy cause it may in your case be a pro or it may be a con especially on the weekends with teenagers blowing off steam but I don’t think it’ll interrupt your sleep at all since they close the doors at or before midnight depending on which day of the week. Parking can be made available if you pay the independent street valet. A rooftop deck/cafe. There’s an elevator, air conditioning, hot water, telephone and television. The rooms are a bit run down ie. the walls peeling a bit, but that’s just part of the Zamalek charm. The building are quite old and historic so I won’t hold it against them especially at this price point. It’s important to note that they don’t hold different prices depending on your nationality which is much appreciated, nothing makes me feel more welcome or at home then someone affording me the customs as anyone else. I greatly appreciate the wonderful staff who I probably drove mad bringing up my orders but they always made me feel at home and were very accommodating.

I read the other reviews and decided to find out for myself about this place. To be honest, I liked it and can confirm that the view of the Nile is pretty awesome. With regards to service, it is not unreasonable as long as you understand that the staff operate on 'egyptian' time; Yes it took time for my Stella egyptian lager to arrive, so what ? When the Stella was not arriving all I had to do was look over at the head waiter and smile in a thirsty way : then it showed up. Actually I also enjoyed that his place is pretty laid back and has a good balance between locals and foreigners. Will definitely drop in again next time in Zamalek.

Where to begin?! I can just only review the roof-top bar and not the hotel itself. The hotel isn’t easy to find when you come from a different direction. But when you stay in front of the complex, the entrance is on the left. Once you entered it, you go straight to the elevator where you have to go to the 4th floor. Then use the stairs to go to the roof-top. It can be windy, consider to bring something warm with you. The view itself is great. Just relax and enjoy the view onto the Nile. Aisha and alcohol is available.

The Nile Zamalek Hotel is a get what you book. It is cheap and for its price good. I've had room 212, no nile view as via booking you can't book nile view. Room was quiet and kinda clean, but yes they could do more cleaning there (windows, toilet, bed sheets..). I asked for early check-in upfront and they've made it possible. Breakfast was an boiled egg, some cheese, one or two bread and some coffee. If you are in a rush let the staff know the evening before when you want to have your breakfast, otherwise you won't make it. It is not a buffet, more like an continental breakfast and it is beside the reception, sadly not on the roof. The roof is amazing and make much out of it, good food for dinner and reasonable prices. If you stay at the hotel please let the roof staff know so you don't have the minimum fee/entrance fee. Outsiders can enter the hotel and roof top, they will he charged an entrance fee and minimum charge. If you are a Traveller, don't look for small details, need a cheap, good located place to stay you will like it. The hotel is old but I think the staff does what they can, some of them have 24h shifts, be nice and they will be nice to you *as everywhere in Egypt. Zamalek itself has many cafes, restaurants, bars, super markets, boutiques, even a tattoo studio between all the embassies. Easy access to other areas with the metro station tight in front of the...

Wow! Where do i start? Booked a room on booking.com and was confirmed a room with a balcony view of the nile. We were shown to a room I wouldn't let my dog sleep in, with a balcony view of a building site. After being shown another two or three rooms, we settled for what I would describe as a very very basic room. Yes there was TV, showing 100 channels of middle eastern TV. There was a fridge, but no water or tea or coffee, nothing. The bathroom was the worst I have ever encountered anywhere. Yes this is Egypt but my God, the thought of showering in there made me shudder. It was filthy. The sink leaked so badly there was a flood every time the tap was turned on. There was one old towel between two of us.||The furnishing was dirty with curtains that didn't close properly. I must admit the bed was comfy and the sheets were clean, the only plus point I can mention.||The staff were rude and unhelpful. When asked about WIFI we were told there 'was problem today'. Weak signal in reception after many wrong passwords given.||Breakfast was and hour and a half late, consisting of a bread roll and a hard (very) boiled egg and jam with tea.||In short, if you want the most basic of hotel, with unhelpful staff, this is the place for...
