This little museum🏚️ has ancient artifacts✨ dating back to a long time ago. There are limited rooms which you can enter and also some items you cannot touch. The guide was polite. It was also a struggle to open the yellow gate at the entrance (The gate is also used for the kindergarten.🏫) Free admission guys. It's very peaceful eventhough I heard this place is haunted. Nothing out-of-this-world happened when I was there. The guide says someone used to sit on the rock outside to the point the rock had to be moved back to the museum from his gravestone and the...

This place has two houses to visit. You'll start with the visitor area, where there is a person telling you a bit of the history of that house. It has shop and a little room, where you can see pictures of the family that lived there and of the area where the house is located.

Second house is kept as it was back in the days. It's eye opening for those who are used to have indoor toilets and water coming to the house. There is another person to tell you how they lived, how they cooked or basically anything you want to know. They have a lot of knowledge and share...

We decided to visit the Burgher's Home as it was right near our accommodation. Truth be told we didn't know about it in advance, we just walked past, saw the sign and decided to visit before we went out for the day on the next morning. Bonus was it was free. From the outside, we didn't expect much, but inside there is a fascinating glimpse into Helsinki family life and that of one family in particular. The staff on hand were really knowledgeable and patient with all our questions too. I'd recommend adding this to your...

It's one of the rare wood architecture in the centre of Helsinki, which used to be the norm when it was built. It's not very big, you can finish in 30 minutes, but it's free and the team there is super friendly and very knowledgeable about Finnish culture and architecture, I really enjoyed my visit there, I can feel their passion about the building.
