Disaster. A hotel that air conditioning does not work. First time ever that I am sweating in the room and feeling stuffy. Called the reception and he blamed it on the heatwave. But aircon is supposed to cool the room during the summer! After spending a day trying to improve the air conditioning flow, it does not work. There were two senior staff who was at the desk, one in suit and looks like a duty manager, he didn’t even dare to look at me and engage me, knowing how bad the hotel is. While I was returning, on 18th June evening at about 2215, a few customers also commented that the room was warm and requested assistance. In Singapore, I sleep without air condition so I am quite ok with heat. But this is just too much. Read the rest of the reviews 1-2 stars and there are many comments about poor heat or temp management in the hotel during summer and winter! Please read and avoid my mistake.
To be honest, this is the first time I had to take a cold shower by choice in a hotel room, have to sleep without using a blanket, and still sweat at night. Just too much heat and warm. Even the corridor. So save yourself, avoid this hotel at all cost during summer, June to sept. There are many options around in Paris and in la defense. If you want to just have a good rest, not Citadines.
The studio room is also poorly designed The whole room only has 2 hooks for clothes. Even though it has a small kitchen, This hotel is worse than ibis hotel. I have no space to open two luggages, can only keep one open, and even then, no space to walk.
Breakfast was atrociously bad, go to McDonald and you can have a better meal. Only sausages and the scrambled egg is not freshly made, but those quality u have onboard, premixed scrambled mass produced type. I had better breakfast at a homestay in zakopane in Poland.
Coming from ibis hotel and holiday inn in Poland, this is among the worse. Actually, worst of all hotel stays in Europe and Asia. Do not come here. The location is also bad because even though it’s near to the metro, this is in zone 3, and from metro to hotel, there is no escalator or lift from the metro so u have the drag your luggages up and down the stairs. You can get better hotels elsewhere. They have no cup for brushing teeth in the toilet, only 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/body gel. The design of the studio is bad as u shared a tiny walkway that is dark with your neighbour. It’s creepy and often, u have to try to find the switch in the dark. Your window faces the office buildings. Bathroom poorly designed that it’s always wet after shower. Overall, poor service, poor facilities. The hotel is in absolute shambles. Oh, this is my experience as a Ascott platinum member, and it’s already rubbish. Don’t bother.
Ascott chain management please take note, but I am not even sure if they care.
