Without me knowing, I went on my last rock'n'rollercoaster ride a couple of years ago. I was afraid I would end up with a "look how they massacred my boy" feeling after visiting the "new" ride, and I did left a bit with that feeling. Don't get me wrong; I think the queue is okay (better than the concrete outside queue of RNR previously) but the ride itself.. It's like someone else pointed out in another comment, this is a now a second space mountain, almost completely in the dark with barely watchable effects because you fly by them (and get rid of that projection screen, seriously). Where is the pumping sound? The amazing light effects? We don't ask for 4 to 5 different "soundtrackers" (although that was a nice touch for trying to catch them all), but please give us some amazing light show like RNR had? I'm sure something can be made up with the avengers theme song? If you had the amazing opportunity to ride RNR and compare it with this , you're probably left with a "meh" feeling or "is RNR replaced with this?". For me this attraction went from riding it 12 times in 3 days to once in the entire stay, because I'm nostalgic and I hope I get the RNR vibe again.
Please...
Read moreGreat queue… not so great ride.
The queue is the best part of the ride. The story of the mission is told as you weave your way around, culminating in a meeting with Iron Man himself (and Captain Marvel!) before a final few turns where boarding instructions and the ride itself is.
The ride is… not good. Incredibly uncomfortable if you’re above average height, with clunky restraints that clobber your head as you’re thrown around on this incredibly dark and juddery rollercoaster.
Poor quality screens (like on Hyperspace Mountain) all blur into one as you catapult past them, with the audio turned up to an unreal volume to try give you some semblance of story. Lights flash all over the place and there’s no real respite from the sensory assault. I left this ride feeling a little queasy - which is new for me! - as it was just so visually...

The queues were always under 15 minutes as this is from a certain height and multiple times you go in spins with heads down. Once we went to this attraction 4 times in a row because the queue was 5min.
I felt safe and didn't shake so much as on Indiana Jones for example. The secret is to put your head back and that's it. It won't shake or hurt.
The story was great. One thing for the future I would suggest is putting more light inside and more storytelling as it is in Space Mountain Star...
