“Fleischerei” means butcher shop in German, so the name roughly translates to Domke Nino Butcher Shop—and that’s exactly the vibe. It’s a place where you can either shop for fresh meats, eggs, and local products, or sit down and enjoy a hearty meal in a small but cozy setting.

The interior is simple: a few high bar seats along the wall in an annex room, plus a couple of outdoor tables. Ordering is straightforward—everything is listed on the wall (in German), but you can easily use Google Translate’s photo function to read the menu. Staff do speak English and were very friendly, which was a nice surprise given the stereotype that Germans can be reserved.

We ordered a sausage plate that came with sauerkraut (chukrut) and boiled potatoes. The food came out in just a couple of minutes, piping hot, generous in portion, and perfect for a cold, rainy day—it felt like true German comfort food. For two people, we spent around €17. Not the cheapest meal, but the quality made it worth it.

Overall, I’d describe it as a genuine local German experience—part butcher, part casual eatery, with no frills but plenty of authenticity. The friendly service and the hearty food made it a memorable stop.

Practical tip: This spot was perfect for our itinerary—we walked through Bolz Park, had lunch here, and then continued on to the East Side Gallery. A great way to combine sightseeing with...

I love any kind or traditional homey food when I travel, so I was absolutely thrilled to find this spot unexpectedly.

It’s a butcher but they have amazing and affordable comfort foods like bludwurst (blood sausage) eisbien (pork knuckle), gulasch, bratwurst etc. i chose the eisbien and while it doesn’t look so appetizing, it truly is!

The potatoes and sauerkraut make it a huge meal, and at 9 euro you really can’t find anything of this size and quality around. The mustard was honestly the best I’ve ever had and it’s just an all around special place.

I came at 3:30 pm with barely a line and one table left to sit outside (plenty inside) and by 4:30 it was empty. The food comes out in moments. I was still eating an hour later bc this plate is gigantic.

Friendly service too. I don’t speak German and the girl at the counter didn’t speak English, but we made it work. Pointing, context and a smile...

I like this place, because they have typical German meat dishes ) And nice prices! VERY NICE PRICES 💸 They stole my heart with "Gefüllt Paprika" and Kartoffeln Püree in Menu. ⭐ 4* instead of 5* is only because the bitter taste of meat filling. But I understand that it's a quality of Hackfleisch. When I tried to do it at home I had the same bitter taste. 👩🏻‍🍳 In all other senses, servise is fast, food is good, variety is wide, different payment methods, portions are big, self-service. Better than KFC and McDonald's 🍟 I recommend this...
