Incredible exhibition, but the museum lacks organisation and substantive information for guests to read. Many of the objects presented aren't desctibed, and if they are, it's brief. We found typographic errors in the English desriptions, making some of the text useless. If I didn't have any knowledge about historical scientific devices, I'd be dissapointed. There are no safety lines on the floor, if you lean in to see something better, you might be greeted with an alarm, even though you weren't even close to touching any of the objects. I visited the museum with a person who has very poor eyesight. Comunication with English speaking guests could be better. The staff speaks English, but refrains from using it. It didn't lead to any major complications during my visit, but it definitely wasn't helpful either. I work in a museum myself, this is not something I was expecting from such a big institution. Amazing objects, mid-poor...
Read moreSecurity guard was drinking juice inside exhibition hall and then berated me for drinking water.
The exhibitions were interesting, you could even interact with some instruments. It was nice that everything was also in english. But the security guard spoiled our experience. Shortly after we came in we saw him take a big bottle of juice from behind one of the exhibition cases and drink it right there. After a while I sat on a bench at the wall, because I am pregnant and it was hot in the hall I took a sip from a water bottle. He came over and ordered me to get out with it. I took it from the hall and threw it in the trash, but when I came back I saw that he was arguing with my husband how I shouldn’t drink in here and he just wouldn’t stop. I don’t know what more he wanted me to do. He was rude and it is very hypocritical and weird to demand this when we saw him drink juice in...
Read moreAmazing European collection of mathematical and physical Instruments. Considering my tastes and interests, I think it was the most interesting museum for me that I have ever visited. This is a huge collection of everything related to accurate calculations of the past: mathematical and physical devices and instruments, geographical and astronomical devises and instruments. All kinds of watches and compasses, computing devices and so on. It was an unforgettable experience in its own way and I highly recommend visiting it for those who are also interested in such things... and just advising it to visit to those who came to Zwinger (like its other museums, such as art and porcelain...
