A remnant of a once grandiose theatre. It is visible from the Bahnhof Römisches Theatre ( train station) in Mainz. Schön hergerichtet und informativ. Schade, dass man es nicht wirklich begehen kann. Vom Bahnhof aus sieht man leider kaum etwas, deshalb sollte man auf jeden Fall die Treppen nach oben nehmen und von dort aus staunen. Schöne Aussicht über die Theaterruine, allerdings ist der Bau des Bahnhofs an diesem Punkt für mich nicht einleuchtend. Es wurde dann dadurch gelöst, dass es unterschiedlich farbige Steine auf dem Bahnsteig gibt, welche die Mauern symbolisieren sollen. Diese sieht man aber erst richtig, wenn man auf dem Bahnsteig steht, da die Sicht von oben durch Werbebanner und das Dach des Bahnhofs eingeschränkt ist. Das ist schade. Abgesehen davon, ist es es eine sehr schöne, gut erhaltene Ruine.
