I would like to sincerely apologize if I caused any offense by asking if you spoke English during my visit to EIS RIALTO. Though your gelato was absolutely delicious, it was never my intention to be disrespectful. Being new to Germany, I am still learning the language, and sometimes I find myself relying on English, Spanish and Italian to get by.

I understand that merely asking you a question may have come across the wrong way, but please know it was simply a question out of necessity, not out of disregard for your culture or language. I truly value the effort it takes to communicate across languages, and I am doing my best to improve my German every day.

I believe kindness and patience go a long way, especially in moments when people are trying their best to connect despite barriers, but must admit that we and the other customers were taken aback by how rude you were.

Once again, I am sorry if I upset you. I hope you can accept this apology in the spirit it is given: with sincerity and respect.

We love these freshly homemade bubble waffles with icecream here! It is definitely our favourite treat and the sweet Italian owner makes every one herself and provides very nice service. And the price is really fair as the portion is so big that we share one. The great atmosphere sitting in one of the most beautiful parts of the old town here in Mainz viewing the gorgeous old houses...

I got the organic matcha bubble waffle with pistachio ice cream with crushed peanuts and berries sprinkled on top. Waited 15 minutes for it but it must be some specialty or something to take that long! Ice cream is very high quality gelato....
