Came at 9 pm on Tuesday night and the restaurant was fairly empty, only two tables occupied, however we waited for our food for 1 hour!
The restaurant is nice inside, very cozy and homey. I enjoyed their menu as it was very nicely done from a design perspective but also what was inside. I haven’t seen for a long time an Indian restaurant that offers cocktails and a selection of wine. Selection of food was excellent.
We opted for dhal, lamb tikka and korma curry. The best was the lamb and it was tender, juicy and overall well done. Dhal needed a bit more herbs and lemon juice, but was decent. Korma curry was sweet as expected, but nice. Rice was done perfectly! However the portions were really small for what we have paid, literally 5 pieces of meat in every dish, not enough to share with friends for example.
My masala tea was “German” spicy meaning there could have been more done as I was missing the taste of cardamom and other herbal ingredients. Alcoholic cocktails were good, nothing extraordinary.
Overall good experience, but the length of waiting for food along with smaller portions could be improved!
Payment with a card was not an issue. Visited...
Read moreThe kadai panner we ordered was ok but the lamb spinach and madras chicken was a total let down......the pieces seemed like boiled separately and later added to the gravy.....the spinach gravy tasted a bit like the spinach frozen cubes that we normally find in rewe or aldi with the boiled pieces were added ....same with Madras chicken....total tangy sauce with boneless cubes of chicken.. sweet and mango lassi... very runny and not thick ...also the quantity is way less for 4 euros..... overall quantity wise its not at all worth it ...I am surprised anyone goes there ...... For me , never again......my worst diasspointment is , its not indian gravy....i mean i dont expect spicy but its a total disrespect...
Read moreThe food wasn't up to the mark by any standard. We ordered Veg Pakoras, Chicken Madras and a Shahi Paneer along with some garlic Naans.
The Pakoras were a disappointment, too oily, and had a burnt ring to it.. like they had been refried over and over.
The paneer was pretty decent, but the chicken was very chewy and the pieces were very bland. The gravy was okay ish though.
And the garlic naan was terrible.
All in all, we didn't have many expectations from this place, and well, it did not even live upto that.
The service was good though, the staff very polite, the washrooms very clean.
However, won't be...
