Rathaus St. Johann — Attraction in Saarbrücken

One of the attractions of Saarbrücken. Rathhaus is a new- gothic architecture, where the work started in 1897 and took almost more than 100 yeras to finish. There is a statue of St. George fighting the dragon represents fight against evil. The ball room is one of the attractions where around 1000 + marriages take place every year. A restaurant in the building which offers exquisite German cuisine and can accommodate around 250+ guests. Info center is on the building and near by Rathhaus bustop and State...

Unglaublich und unfassbar...wozu gibt es ein Rathaus, wo man sich Ehelichen kann ,eigentlichder schönste Tag in deinemLeben...die Freude an solch einem Tag überwiegt, alle liebsten sind zugegen, freuen sich mit..mit ein bisschen Konfetti, bzw, Reis wurde schon weggelassen,....dann kommt aus dem Rathaus ein wütender ,kleiner kampfhausmeister raus und schreit rum was das soll..und wurde verbal ausfallend..!!!macht dazu die ganze Stimmung zu nichte 😡😡😡uns allen haben die Worte gefehlt!!!! Wir alle arbeiten hart für unser Geld, bezahlen eh schon übertriebene Steuern ,dann wird es ja wohl erlaubt sein dürfen ,die frisch gebackenen Eheleute mit ein bisschen "Konfetti am Rathaus "begrüßen zu dürfen!!! Die Stadt Saarbrücken darf nicht vergessen, von wem sie am laufen gehalten wird!!! Dem STEUERZAHLER!!!! Ich werde mich dazu noch an gegebener Stelle Schriftlich beschweren, das werden wir so nicht...

Probably the prettiest building and more historical in Saarbrucken. It's somewhat close to the train station and the old town. It's beautiful rock and Gothic architecture. Definitely worth visiting...
