I stayed in this motel in the fall, and was happy with its very central location. Close to the Stadtzentrum of Saarbrucken, and a number of great little restaurants. ||Check in was easy, and the staff were very pleasant. One lady’s English was minimal, and our german hadn’t been used regularly in a long time! But another staff member spoke perfect English and helped us. Both very professional. The hotel lobby is nice and spacious and modern.||The initial room we were given was incorrect and only had one bed, but we were immediately provided an additional room when we pointed out the problem. We lucked out and got the last parking spot in the covered parkade downstairs. It’s small and a tight squeeze, but convenient. Worth the price, but you could always park across the street at Staatstheater, which is about 100m away or so, but not covered or secured. ||Breakfast was worth the fee, and was very nice. Typical german breakfast. Soft boiled eggs (with little beanie hats haha), breads, jams, sausages, juice, fruit and coffee. ||The room was small, but typical for European hotels. They were clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, although the shower was a bit small. Great view on the little plaza road behind the hotel, and some|great old buildings. ||All in all a good experience. I...
Read moreWe really have nothing to complain. We booked it kinda last minute to spend one night on new years and everything went quite well and the price was fair in my opinion. The staff was really nice, the room and bathroom were clean and everything looked new and modern, the location was also really good, the breakfast didn't have a huge amount of options, but everything that they had was good quality, a lot of bio products and some vegan options. The only maybe down point was that we came with a car and in there were no parking spots on the hotel anymore, but it wasn't that bad because the are at least 3 big parking houses really close to the hotel and we just parked there and walked 100m. It was not a big deal. In general it was a pleasant experience and we would...
Read moreAll the staff, including Housekeeping, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The view from our room was onto the main street, and we could see the old castle, church and the Christmas Ferris Wheel. Breakfast was always delicious. The room itself was very comfortable, including the bed. One thing I have to mention is that there are two separate doonas (duvets) on the bed...which is great when one partner likes to hog the "blankets" at night-time. The hotel was close to everything. I was able to order a lactose free hot chocolate, (which certainly made my day!) downstairs. The drinks list, and the wine list are great, covering a variety of drinks for all. Will definitely come back and stay...
