One of the best Indian food we have sampled so far in Stuttgart! They have quite a good collection of starters (indian kebabs) served on a sizzling hot plate, we had the chicken hara tikka and loved the minty flavour and overall composition. Their curries with naan are also very tasty - we had mutton curry and liked it quite a lot. Make sure to specify you would like Indian spicy if you want the dishes prepared traditionally and can handle the spice levels. To drink we had the sweet lassi and mango lassi, the mango lassi was more tasty. We finished off with kulfi for dessert and it was a lovely homemade mango ice cream with almond and raisin toppings. We really liked this place and would definitely go back there. We went there on a Tuesday evening and got a table easily without reservations. The service was a little slow, but the food was definitely worth the wait.

Mixed feelings! Very friendly staff, that’s for sure. The food is awesome delicious. But we haven’t had good service whatsoever. It took forever to get the menu. It took forever until we finally were able to order. We ordered starters for two and two main dishes. We got our starters, were a little confused about what it is and started eating...stunning taste! Then we waited forever...until we actually asked them for our main course...the told us that THIS WAS the main...we were shocked! They forgot the starters and the portions were tiny! I wasn’t even 10% full. Then we paid and wanted to go. A plus was that they recognized the dissatisfaction in our faces and asked us about what went wrong! They offered us a shot and were very friendly. We left and didn’t know what to feel!

One of the best Indian places in Stuttgart .. so classy and clean with nice atmosphere and no over powering aroma...spacious and everyone is sitting privately and nicely on their table The biryani that has the lamb, chicken and shrimps is a MUST try .. stunning .. order extra red sauce .. they have this unique tangy slightly spicy amazing sauce The chicken tandoori is nice to try .. so tender .. but the kofta one (minced meat) avoid it .. pretty Awkward texture and spices Chicken korma and chicken tikka masala are among the best curries they have .. tikka is rich in flavour and korma is slightly sweet .. best to order both and share to balance Their bread filled with potatoes is out of this world .. really mind blowing

On 30.08.2018 lunch time me and my wife visit this namaste restaurant in Berliner Platz..We was fully happy and expected the same atmosphere which we felts in Durrelewang Namaste Restaurant. We entered into the restaurant one stubborn lady and other staff was inside. We we went straight to the staff and give the gift voucher which i got from my friend as Christmas gift (2017). The moment the staff said to us they can’t accept the voucher coz it expired and it’s just Advents offer, then my wife asked if so you should mentioned in the voucher as per German law if someone gifted the voucher of it’s not mentioned the expiring date then it’s valid upto 3 yrs. after big discussion she said she will speak with the stubborn black lady. After some discussions in between them, it took nearly 2 minutes and we both standing they not said to sit not given place. After the discussion the staff young girl (who have lot of tattoos in her arms) she showed her actions raised her tumb (looks like that we got 1 Million lottery like) my boss accepted and I convinced my boss she (service lady) said. We both watch each other and totally embarrassed. Service lady said to us that she convinced her boss. In between i spoke with my friend who gifted voucher and explained the details what’s happening in restaurant, my friend that she paid for the voucher and they (restaurant) not given free voucher to behave in such a way. Anyway at last they given a table for us. We both was waiting in front of table to get menu card, no one came to us to ask for a drink, even though the restaurant boss walking infront of us with her constipation face up and down. Nearly 10-15 min later service lady brought menu after several times I raised my hand, Treated us like given free food to the homeless people, that much badly. We chosen buffet, when my wife ( she is German) struggled to move the cap of rice top she (boss) was standing near to the buffet counter and not interested to help her, after my wife took rice from the rice pot, little rice felts out, she (restaurant running lady)said in a strong way to my wife can’t do like this, see how much she felts bad. People those who experience can understand, when others insult your wife in such a way. Even though my wife said don’t want to make some issues, that’s her culture she behaving to us in this way. After finished our lunch, it’s nearly 6 minutes no one came to clean the table ( remember just 3 tables occupied and it’s buffet, and two ladies making big jokes each other hided behind the drink 🍸 counter)atlast the boss lady came out from her favorite place(drink counter) I asked the lady to take the plates coz small flies started flying over the waste foods that’s fully irritating me, suddenly she came to me and said you must say “Bitte”, I said to her I’m not good in German and in English this is polite way. She don’t like and turn her head and asked my wife how you communicating each other and you have to say to your husband speak in German or you must translate to him, “ how much small her brain 🧠 behaving to the customer in such a way, when we asked the bill they cheated us bcoz we had 20€ vouchers and food lunch offer 8,50 that means 8,50x 2= 17€ balance 3 € I bought a beer 3,30 and wife bought coke 2,80=6,10. ( here I mentioned approximate amount I really forgot the real price but I’m sure it’s below the price which I mentioned) so 6,10- 3( balance amount from gift voucher) = 3€ 10 Cent we should have to pay but they charged 7€ 80 cent and 20 cent we given as tip. Later I complaint the staff she said she the fair skin stubborn lady is her boss, I was shocked normally employee behave arrogantly if boss pay less money here she behaved to the customers in such a way that she runs a 7 star hotel like Le Meridien or steigenberger hotel, even that places the leading bosses will not behave to guests in this way. “Horrible horrible lady” .. those who reading my review plz don’t gift vouchers from here to your friends or relatives they will hate you just coz of the lady. #highly not...

Behavior from the owner( seems like Indian lady) is totally bad and arrogant, her attitude is fully like I’m the boss the customers coming to my restaurant have to obey me. Fully constipation face, That will not work. Restaurant in Berliner Platz, I’m posting my review. It’s fully embracing. Walking infront of us and don’t want to clean the table and we as in lunch offer, don’t want ask something to drink, when I asked for a drink to staff, she not interested to bring Speise Karte, moreover cheated 5 € coz we had 20€ Gutschein and food was 8,50x2=17 € and drink was together 6 ( but below this amount) and she charged 7,80( small coke and a beer) apart from this 20€ Gutschein Normally we should have to pay 3€ or 3,80 after reducing 17€ from 20€ Gutschein.. After we both finished our food no one came to take the plate and in restaurant only 3 tables was occupied rest was free and these two ladies ( boss and staff) walked infront us and and sometimes big chat each other even though not interested to take the plates from our table. Later some some small flies flew over the waste plate, I asked to the constipation face boss lady to clean the table she don’t like my words, she jumbed infront of me and said you must have to say “bitte” I said I’m not good in German and in English this is the polite way to say suddenly she asked my wife how you communicating each other and you must ( the word she used is muss) say to him, say in bitte and you should translate to him how to speak, is this is the way a boss who running a restaurant speak to customers ? And she don’t have rights to question me whether I’m speaking German or not and she don’t have rights to advice my wife to teach me how to speak that was embracing moment for me and my wife and I forced her to visit this namaste restaurant. Moreover I was totally felts bad infront of my wife that a Indian lady behaved me such a bad way to same own nation person. What a human is she ?? I’m an Indian And my wife is German. Saying Indian restaurant and charging lot and behaving to a Indian person in such a bad way... Friends don’t go to Berliner Platz Namaste Restaurant.. until the lady is in Berliner Platz namaste restaurant they will never fill the seats if this is her attitude. I will say to all my Daimler friends and others my German friends if they ask for a Indian Restaurant, I will recommend other Indian restaurant. Paying lot also have to see and bear the this constipation face lady actions...

This was one of the strangest meals of Indian food I've ever had. I've eaten many, many restaurant and home-cooked Indian dishes by varying cooks with quality ranging from alright to amazing, and none of them were anything like the food at this restaurant.

We ordered garlic naan, two main dishes, and dessert. The naan arrived and had just barely enough garlic on it for me to recognize it was supposed to be garlic naan. Sad, but I can let it go; even regular naan is tasty. The main dishes were what got to me. They was no hint of spice which is annoying but tolerable (maybe trying to cater to european people? I don't know?), but unforgivably there was no recognizable seasoning. It was basically like eating a bean-based mush with rice. No flavor to speak of. The other dish was one of the grilled dishes with chicken. The chicken itself was not perceptibly seasoned, and while it wasn't the absolute worst quality chicken I had, it was dubious enough that I was noticing and thinking about the quality of the meat while eating (not great). Sauce was on the side; about half as much sauce was provided as would go with that amount of chicken, and like everything else, it didn't really taste like anything. We did get a dessert, which was nice, and in line with my expectations for that dessert. Finally, it also took a considerable amount of time to flag someone down so that we could pay. On that note, the prices would be slightly high for this amount of food if the food was great, but the prices are WAY too high for what the food is. The chicken dish was 18 euros! I would only eat it again if it were free and I was so hungry that I didn't care if the food tasted like anything.

My mind is blown at how bland everything was! I'm more shocked than upset, how can someone cook food so bland, and then charge those prices?? And even more confusing, what did all the 5-star reviewers eat???? I want that food!!! Was their typical cook sick today? Did they somehow run out of all their spices at once?

Maybe I've been spoiled by other Indian food experiences, I just was totally unaware that Indian food could be made with absolutely no flavor.

The place seemed pretty clean, though, but there are no toilet paper at all in one stall of the women's restroom and just half a roll in the other. The dessert was alright. So I guess just get dessert here? :/ Also, I got sick shortly after leaving the...
