I tried Korean food for the first time in this restaurant and I was not disappointed.
We tried sweet and spicy fried chicken (Dakgangjung), it was very interesting. It was crispy, sweet and a little bit hot. We tried also their Kimchi, it was ok but neither hot nor spicy. We tried also spicy curry, it had a few vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and mange-tout. The sauce itself was flavorful and slightly spicy. The dominating flavor I noticed was of cumin. The Kimchi Mandu was delicious but I didn't like the taste of meat in it, I guess I would have loved it more if it only had Kimchi.
Overall, the food was only slightly hot/spicy, much less than Chinese food for instance. I had expected Kimchi specifically to be quite hot but it wasn't hot at all. But since I never tried Korean food before, I can't judge how authentic it was.
The restaurant was not crowded, but there aren't that many tables so I suppose it might get somewhat crowded during weekends.
I am not sure if they deliver, but they do offer takeouts.
Toilets were extremely clean, which was also a plus. They desinfect the tables once the customer leaves which is nice. The staff were all wearing masks.
There is no table service, you order choose the dishes you want from the menu and go and inform their...
Read moreMy first time being here and I am addicted! I couldn’t believe the delicious taste of all the food for the price! (We had bulgogi + Korean fried chicken + Galbi Mandu + 2 drinks = 36€. I think that is quite a bargain!) yes the place is not the best location since it is near the trams, so quite busy. But since it doesn’t really matter to me, I value more of the food quality. For me all are delicious! Bulgogi was tasty, mandu was a delicacy to the mouth, and the crispy chicken 😋😋😋 they offer 2 flavors: spicy (with gochujang sauce) and soja sauce, but the nice thing is we can order half-half to try both sauces. I think the chicken was tasty and perfect crispy! Really a good snack!
Addition: the teoppoki was very good! I can’t get enough of the mandukuk and yhr japchae as well (what we had during second visit).
Note: this place is not like a fancy restaurant, more like for a quick lunch (hence the open-air seating and affordable price). It is also self-service, so you order on the counter and take it yourself). The place is always busy, so be prepared to wait...
Read moreThe staff was super friendly and the service was very quick. Prices are okay. They are prepared for the current Covid situations and have measurements in place. They have seatings inside and outside available, for 2 or 4 people.
Only one way to enter & leave though. People stand in that door waiting to order, you also have to use that way to pick up your food and bring it to your table when sitting outside.
For me personally the food was okay-ish. I had the Ramen with three mixed Mandu on top. The soup tastes like one of those 60 Cent Instant noodle dishes you can buy in every super market. It was okay but nothing special. A little too spicy for my taste but still okay. They added some fresh carrot and leak in the soup and one egg cloud. One of the Mandu I liked, the other two not so much (unfortunately they looked very similar so I can't tell which was which).
I haven't had any of the other dishes yet, but I would not return for the Ramen, since I'm more accustomed to the fresh japanese version and not that fond of the...
