ROCKWOOD — Restaurant in Athens

I love this bar! Went first time on a weekday in late June with my friend, we got very good Mai tais and the bar staff was super friendly. We got Mastix on the house. Not many people at that time. The decorations and back ground music are cool for us “oldies”. I went back early October-25 when there were bands. It was great, plenty of visitors and interesting music. I do hope the place will survive for at least a few decades. One gets so happy to find places with a slightly older clientele = great music! I wish I could have stayed to closing time at 3 am but not this time. I haven’t tried the food but I do hope I will get back and will definitely try out the menu. Prices are average for a bar with central location. I walked to my hotel near Omonia well after midnight and felt safe. Not sure what...

Biggest surprise in Athens. Best night in a long time! Wow! Came upon here by accident but Karma treated me very well. Bar was empty when I walked in but guys working bar were very welcoming..this place is a hidden gem!!! Professional set up with Live band (blues/rocky with sax/flute player..😀 and a even sound/mixer guy?!) Staff very friendly and advised of food options etc. Chicken wings were delicious! Local beers, great band and very positive atmosphere. No idea what band (guy+girl)were talking/singing about but cool vibes, very passionate fun bluesy rock..the energy and passion from band, audience was very uplifting. Best place in Athens to hangout for a beer or drinks and why not escort it with something to eat since it has an excellent menu to choose from! For couples, friends, loners and any occasion this place and it's staff will make it an unforgettable experience for you.

Writing a review about Rockwood will never be enough to describe it, you really need to experience it!
