Although the food was very good, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant because of the service. 1. they wanted to charge extra for ketchup. A first for me. 2. they refused to add some lettuce to a salad (not to a complex sauce or something) even after we proposed to pay extra because "it has to be exactly like in the menu". 3: After 10 days in greece, part of it in a 20 person strong organized group, it was the first restaurant to refuse to split the bill between the several diners under the lame explanation that he issued the bill already. Maybe they didn't teach the guy the 30s cancellation operation (no credit cards ha e been charged yet). In the end, the guy said he didn't have connection. and we had to pay by cash... A very bad experience indeed.
UPDATE: removed a star after owner's xenophobic and insulting answer: "since you are from israel you were rude to him" meaning every israeli is rude. I was born and raised in France by the way. I emigrated as an adult). And the highlight: "There is restaurants for people like you but we are not one of them".
No. I have not been charged for condiments in restaurants and I travel a lot for work. I don't know where you get the "like every other restaurant in the world" from. We got an invoice from every other restaurant in greece. It didn't prevent them to split the bills. Your assumption that all other restaurants are evading taxes is just plain demeaning to other restaurants. We are indeed wary of telling we are from Israel in the current climate. If you don't understand why, just turn on the news, you may learn something. By the way, your answer proves us right: "since you are from israel you were rude to him". A plain unequivocally...
Read moreI live close to this place. Never went as it seems very expensive for what it is. Tonight I got caught in a big rainstorm as I was walking home. I went in and asked for a glass of wine, thinking to wait out the storm as the lightening was getting very scary. The waiter said, “No, dinner only.” There was NO ONE in the restaurant, it was around 8:30 pm and the lightening was very dangerous. Plus it was pouring down rain and I didn’t have an umbrella. How hard would it have been to let me sit for 20 minutes, bring me a glass of over priced wine and collect some euros from me? I would never go here for food. PS: I just read the restaurant’s response to my review. I did ask to sit inside to take shelter from the lightning storm and the waiter said I must order dinner or leave. And no, there aren’t establishments super close by; it was faster just to walk back to my apartment. Finally, what were my other intentions? To get struck by lightning?!?!? Unbelievable. The response to my comment says it all about this...
Read moreGreat location, amazingly large portions of food, very modest prices, and completely fabulous tasting food. The quality is very obvious, and they truly take care of the customer with their service. If anyone ever says that teh wonderful Greek people do not have great hospitalty, just send them to this restaurant, and they will change their minds. Our server Thomas ( Θωμάς ) was a superstar. He made us feel like we were the only people that were important. He gave us incredibly excellent advice for other places to go and things to do. We have traveled over 54 countries around Asia, Africa, and Europe, and we rarelz ever go to the same restaurant 2 times in 1 trip. Thomas ( Θωμάς ) is the main reason which we decided to return here for another meal. It was well worth it, super wholesome experience...
