Orlik Gallery — Attraction in Athens

A beautiful gallery I happened upon while waiting for international friends to arrive in Athens. It's a gorgeous space accentuated by the myriad of pieces adorning each nook and cranny.

Where I came to understand there are pieces of several other artists, in prominence are those of Inna Orlik. I had entered without any intent to purchase anything but two small landscape / cityscape pieces caught my eye.

I asked about the pricing casually, expecting some large unobtainable number, but each of the small pieces were priced extremely well. Considering they were originals, they were incredible deals. But when you think of how even the smallest pieces were a reflection of decades of Inna's devotion, passion, and expertise in art, then they were a steal.

Her son was running the gallery that day, and he graciously offered to ship it to me in the US for free, even though the pieces weren't valued high enough to warrant free shipping. Within two weeks, the paintings were delivered safely and quickly to my home.

It turns out that deciding which pieces to buy was the easy part. Figuring out where to place them in my dingy apartment after having taken them out of the stunning Orlik Gallery is proving difficult, but I will figure it out in due time.

At least for now, I am happy enough to have these pieces with me and hope to find a lot of enjoyment...
