We were unable to taste the cuisine, but our experience with the customer service left much to be desired. Upon calling on Tuesday evening to reserve a table for two, specifically requesting outdoor seating due to our preference as smokers, we were informed that reservations were unnecessary, but we could simply visit the restaurant and they would accommodate us. Following this advice, we arrived at 8:30 PM to find two empty tables outside and decided to take a seat. Shortly after, a waitress approached us and informed us that we couldn't occupy a table set for four since we were only a party of two. When we inquired about finding a suitable table outside, she insisted we wait until a smaller table became available. With half of the restaurant visibly unoccupied, we found this policy perplexing. Seeking a solution, we spoke to another staff member who informed us again that we couldn't use a table meant for four, even if we were willing to place a larger order. Feeling frustrated by the inconsistency, we chose to leave the establishment. This type of service is far from respectful to customers, and it's disappointing that your staff lacks the emotional intelligence to handle such situations effectively. While we cannot comment on the quality of the food, the evident for customer satisfaction is concerning. It's disturbing to feel as though clients are viewed more as walking wallets rather than valued guests. We won't be recommending your establishment to others, as our experience fell far short of...
Read moreHonestly, the food was whatever. I’m from Southern California and very familiar with Mexican food. Sure it’s not super authentic, but we’re also in Greece not Mexico. That’s expected. The taste was fine for what it is. The food was delivered cold, not sure if it was just sitting in the kitchen too long before being served or what. However, the reason for the low rating is based on the customer service. By far the worst service I’ve had while living in Greece. I know my group was not the only ones with this opinion. Tourist we’re coming to the restaurant and shared the same frustrations. Not sure if it was an off night, but I definitely will not be returning after this experience. We had to beg for anything to be done. For table water, menus, food, the food we ordered 30minutes prior, the bill, literally everything. The servers never came to check up on us. And in addition to this, whenever you asked something they had major attitude. Just an “ok” and then around. We tried to be as nice as possible but frankly this is why you come to a restaurant. To be served food that you didn’t have to cook. I could go on and on but you get the point. The staff clearly did not enjoy their jobs or people. Not a friendly environment which is why none of us plan on returning. It’s a shame considering it’s a good location and there really isn’t that many Mexican restaurants in the...
Read moreWe were at Mamacita two times for dinner. The first time was a very positive experience with a pollo and a carne asada burrito. It was plentiful, the salsa tasted refreshing, and the burrito came with sour cream. (It was a little bit on the fatty side with the cheddar sauce.) The prices are pretty reasonable and you automatically get tap water, which you do not in all restaurants. The second time we had a Zorro salad and a Jefe burger. The salad was good with avocados, pomegranate and quinoa, but the burger patties were burnt so much, they were bitter. (Also they were definitely not medium cooked as stated on the menu and the consistency had a too fine ground appearance for a high quality burger, but those are minor issues.) When I brought this to their attention, they were at first unsure whether they'd redo them and then decided, this was how they always did them. Now I don't know you, but if you prefer your burgers burnt up to bitterness - then I would recommend their style. Otherwise stay away from the burgers and stick to strictly Mexican food or salads here. To be complete: the burger came with a lot of good french fries - but they don't have...
