🇬🇧 Tourist trap – absolutely to avoid!
Terrible experience from start to finish. At the entrance, we were welcomed by a woman who confidently claimed to speak Italian and promised to tell us about the customs and traditions of a typical Mykonos house. She asked for €4 per person, calling it a “donation” (as written on the ticket), but in reality, it’s a mandatory entrance fee – you can’t enter without paying.
Once inside, the so-called “guided tour” consisted of a sheet of paper to read by ourselves. No explanations, no real guide. The only other person there was a friend of the owner, apparently just there for a coffee, who barely spoke Italian and knew absolutely nothing about the house. She even hinted that she had been dragged into this last-minute.
A poorly staged scam just to squeeze money out of tourists, with no respect or professionalism. A complete waste of time and money. Avoid at all costs. If you want to learn about real Greek culture, look elsewhere. 🇪🇸 Trampa para turistas – ¡absolutamente evitable!

Read moreLena’s House Folk Museum is a small but charming window into traditional Mykonian life. 🏛️✨ Tucked away near the famous windmills in Mykonos Town, this 19th-century home has been beautifully preserved, giving you a rare glimpse into how locals once lived—complete with antique furniture, family photos, embroidery, and everyday tools.
It’s cozy, humble, and refreshingly quiet compared to the buzz of the town around it. You only need about 15–20 minutes to explore, but it’s a lovely break from the beaches and boutiques—and a meaningful way to connect with the island’s real history. 🎞️🪡
Entry is just a few euros, and the staff are kind and happy to answer questions. A must-visit if you appreciate culture, history, or want to step back in time—if only for a moment.

Read moreThis was someone’s house, preserved in time. It is nice to look at, but I don’t know if this can qualify as a museum. There is no explanation (only one pamphlet in English with not much information). The furnitures were not all original to the house. Some were added. There was no kitchen area, which we thought was maybe unusual?
It can be visited in less...
