As said in their website, it is quick and easy to book a table at Interni restaurant…yet, everything downstream has been an awful experience. Here are the facts:
Confirmation email says the restaurant will call us in the reservation day for confirmation. I received a call from an unknown greek number on the day before at 11pm. As I was in a noisy area, I couldn’t pickup and when I called back the same number a couple of minutes after, no one was responding. On the day of our reservation, I received an email saying my reservation was cancelled because they couldn’t reach me. I called again the reservation and we could reactivate the reservation. If only I knew how my diner will be, I wouldn’t have insisted…
Confirmation email says the table is available for a maximum of 2hrs. Fair enough! However on the spot we are told that it will have to release the table after 1.5hrs. This said, upon arrival (on time!), our table was not yet ready and we had to wait few minutes or choose the possibility to eat on the bar. We preferred the former option.
After 15 min, the waiter informs us that our table was finally ready…we discover a table that they just added in the technical corner (between the cashier and the dish cleaning area). We refused it and preferred to go and eat on the bar instead. (Of note, the indecent table we were offered was removed when we rejected it)
We ordered a 1kg dove sole to share and a couple of sides…it was served very quick, however everything was cold (and not tasty by the way). When waiter asked if the dinner was good, we transparently shared our feedback. He offered us a dessert he selected for us. We appreciated the gesture but we wanted to order (on us, of course) another dessert we liked better but the waiter refused to take our order saying we no much time left before we have to leave.
Shortly after, the barmaid showed us her watch, saying it was time to go. This was 1h and 10min after we sat at our table. This is when we really started getting upset (we were already irritated from the very beginning but we tried to keep our nerves as our plan was to spend a pleasant evening). We asked to talk to the manager who finally confirmed we would have the table for another 20min to compensate the initial waiting time. When we showed our confirmation email saying that the table was available for 2hrs, they just replied « we know, but we changed our policy meanwhile… »
It was finally time to release the table. Our bottle of wine was not yet finished so we asked if we can continue our drinks on the bar. Our request was declined. The only possibility to stay was to order a premium alcohol bottle. We would have considered this option if we were informed from the beginning but we were so upset that we didn’t want to spend a single euro at this place. We paid the bill and left. What a horrible experience we had at Interni!!!
Everything was stress from A to Z. We have travelled the world and been in most exclusive restaurants and never been treated like that. It’s a shame that a restaurant ends up treating its clients in such a disrespectful way, with only profitability in mind. During our stay in Mykonos, we had great time in other trendy places such as Zuma and Scorpios and we’ll definitely go back there on our next stay in Mykonos bot Interni is a NO GO and we encourage everyone to flee...
Read moreAfter four amazing and relaxing days in Santorini, my blood is still boiling at how extremely disrespected I felt at this restaurant. In short, stay FAR AWAY from this wanna-be Bagatelle. If you want to be entertained, read on…
We were excited about our 11pm reservation based on anecdotes about a fun, “turn-up” dinner experience. Things started great. Similar to most restaurants in downtown Mykonos, it’s tucked off a narrow street and opens into a gorgeous outdoor venue. Throughout the dinner, the servers do little performances with sparklers that are fun to cheer along when you’re tipsy. There’s a DJ playing solid party music. That’s about where the positive feedback ends.
My two friends (who were on their honeymoon) arrived early before my girlfriend and I (it was her birthday). The staff appeared to be accommodating and offered to seat them early with no issues. They were seated around 1015 pm and we also arrived in advance of our reservation and were seated at 1040 pm. The staff made no mention that they’d start the two-hour reservation bloc when they were initially seated, alone, at 1015.
We were given a table in the corner near the bar with a half-blown out speaker blaring crackling music onto our table. I couldn’t even hear my friends across the table of four. But hey, these things happen.
At 1140pm, we had finished our extremely small meals (I kid you not, you will pay $80 for a rigatoni entree that has like 6 pieces of pasta and isn’t even that good). We had also gone through several rounds of drinks and shots.
This is where the fun began—I asked the waitress if we could order the “birthday” package for my girlfriend, which comes with a small cake, a bottle of champagne, and a birthday song by the servers. It’s not cheap.
The server’s response? “I’m sorry but you won’t have enough time for the champagne.” She then maintained that our reservation would be ending “soon” because it began at 1015–when they had offered to sit half our party without any warning that doing so would start our reservation clock. She then, in a nasty tone, accused me of being late when I had in fact arrived 20 minutes before original reservation. I pleaded with her, and argued that even if the clock started at 1015 (which would be absurd), we still had 25 minutes left until 1215. We were, after all, spending money not camping. She refused to serve the champagne. She did, though, bring a small, overpriced cake (which we were billed for).
I then spoke with a manager, who said we could stay for the champagne if we ordered “6 bottles of champagne” and laughed—in that smug you’re-not-a-European-billionaire-so-we-don’t-care-about-you attitude that’s all too common to Mykonos—and walked away. He then returned and told us we could stay at a high top table at the bar for an $800 minimum (on top of our $1k dinner bill).
I’ve never been so disrespected by hospitality in ny entire life. Anywhere. Hard stop. If you want to be disrespected and spend thousands of dollars to watch a bunch of snobby Greek servers dance around with sparklers and do dumb dances, make a reservation. If not, Mykonos has much more to...

My girlfriend and I were eagerly anticipating our first dinner in Mykonos after ten wonderful days in Greece with excellent dining experiences. Unfortunately, our time at Interni was notably disappointing.
The waitstaff were indifferent, which I might overlook, but combined with the following issues, it made the experience significantly worse.
Issues Encountered:
Service: Drinks were served by hand without trays, and the waiter held the glass by the rim, showing no hygiene consideration. Water Service: It took 15 minutes to get a water top-up as the bottles were kept far from the table. Even after asking for the bottle to be placed at our table, it took three staff members and another 10 minutes. Timing of Courses: The waiters prematurely cleared my plate while my partner was still eating her starter. They also attempted to serve our mains while she was still eating her starter, which we refused. Main Course: My €60 fillet was an inferior cut and drowning in pepper sauce, not up to the standard expected for the price. Clearing Plates: The waiters cleared my side of the table while my partner was still eating her main course. Desert Service: As soon as my partner finished her main, we received a dessert menu within 2 minutes, with the waiters visibly watching and timing us. Pressure to Leave: Despite our reservation being for 1 hour and 30 minutes, we were being pushed to leave 40 minutes early. At 8:50 PM, we felt pressured even though our booking was until 9:30 PM. Complaints: The couple next to us were also dissatisfied. When we and they complained, the staff insisted that the issue was the table time allotment, ignoring our complaints about being rushed. The waiter accused us of lying about the timing, and even when supported by the neighboring couple, he did not acknowledge our complaints and referred us to his manager. Manager Response: The manager reiterated the 1 hour and 30 minutes allotment and offered us a complementary shot, which felt dismissive. Overall Experience:
The food was subpar, especially for the high prices, and the service was miserable. We felt rushed and undervalued, paying €220 for a mediocre meal forced upon us to free up the table. However, my cocktail was good.
Advice:
Stick to the local taverns, where we had consistently great service and food. Avoid falling for the "Instagram trends" and social media hype like we did. We will not return to Interni and will continue dining at local establishments where the atmosphere and service are genuinely warm and...
