The hotel is nestled among the beautiful streets of Mykonos Town and the taxi dropped us just a short walk from the hotel. The room had three comfortable beds that we all slept really well on. The bathroom was really small though and there wasn't a lot of space to get ready but it was enough. The courtyard in the hotel looked really nice but the round pool that looks like a hot tub was actually really cold and the only place to lay in the sun was on the wall of the pool. The staff were really nice and helpful. It would have been nice to have been given some extra towels for the pool. Overall it was really good value for money, which is what you need for Mykonos because the town is very expensive. I've included some photos of the hotel and the places I've recommend below. Recommendations for places to go: 180° sunset lounge - truly stunning but it is expensive; Kastros - in Little Venice which is roughly a 5/6 minute walk from this hotel, the food was so tasty but again it is a little expensive; Paradise beach - the beach party started at 16:00 and the food/ drinks are not too expensive in comparison to the town. It was great fun and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a good time. Captain's food for sharing, along the old port: for dessert the praline (chocolate) cheese cake was incredible and so was their ice-cream deconstructed baklava. The seafood platter was over priced for the amount of...
Read moreGreat location Great balcony view if you get the top room. However, even though the balcony is advertised as private, it is accessible by other people on the same floor. We woke up to a random woman sitting on our "private balcony" one morning talking loudly on the phone. The hotel should either not advetise it as private or actually make it private so other people can't access it. Service is great and I really appreciated the 24 hour reception desk The pool is nice. Just wish there was shade covering the pool. Couldn't use it during the day because the sun was too hot. Our rooms were not completely clean. It was clear the floors hadn't been washed and there were stains on the bed covers. Cleaner rooms and using only white sheets and covers (bleached between guests) would make the hotel seem more luxurious. The price is average. A bit too high considering the small size of the rooms. This is small point but all the hangers in the closet were mismatched plastic, wire, and felt (like they got them for free). A small fix to make the hotel more luxurious would be to have matching wooden hangers in the closets. The beds and pillows are very hard and...
Read moreWe stayed at Carbonaki for just a week and the stay was very nice with the exception of the shower and humidity in the room.
The location of the hotel is great; it is located in a a bit more quiet alley but the waterfront and main parts of the town can be reached within 5 minutes walk. It is also close to one of the only roads in the town and a car rental place. The receptionists were very friendly and gave us some advice about Mykonos when we arrived.
The room we got was ok; nothing too fancy or too big but it "did the job" quite well and came with a balcony with chairs and a table. The shower, however, was very disappointing; when turning up the warm water, the water merely came dripping out and took around five minutes to get warm. We complained on the first night about there not being any warm water and were told to just wait a bit. We didn't complain again after that, but neither did the staff ask whether it was working. We also noticed, after the third day that it was very damp in the rooms to the extend that our clothes felt a bit wet when putting them on, despite having the windows open for most of the time.
Overall, it is a nice hotel in a...
