Visit on July 25, 2025 (party of 4)
We booked a table in the garden area of Coya Mykonos for four people and were required to prepay a minimum spend of €250 per person – a total of €1000. Given such a policy, we expected impeccable organization and a premium experience. Unfortunately, we were left disappointed.
The first issue arose upon arrival – despite arriving exactly on time, we were made to wait over 40 minutes for our table. During that time, we asked the hostesses multiple times about the delay, but received no clear answer. This was especially frustrating considering the restaurant's strict "zero tolerance" policy for late arrivals from guests.
Once seated, we were lucky to have an excellent and attentive waiter who did his best to salvage the evening and improve our overall experience (5 starts for waiter)
The food was decent, but not memorable. We actually struggled to reach the prepaid minimum spend and ended up taking a bottle of wine to-go just to meet the requirement, which felt forced and unnecessary.
Our biggest disappointment, however, was the complete lack of any kind of party atmosphere or entertainment. Contrary to what is heavily advertised on their social media — including promises of fireworks, a vibrant party vibe, and live performances — there was nothing of the sort. It was just a standard dinner with no added value.
Considering the price we paid and the expectations set by the restaurant’s online presence, the experience fell short and did not live up to the Coya brand’s image...
Read moreMy visit to Coya left me with mixed feelings. While the restaurant boasted a pleasant ambiance with great music, it was noticeably smaller compared to other dining establishments in Mykonos.
Disappointingly, the food failed to leave a lasting impression. As someone familiar with Spanish cuisine from having lived in Spain, I found it to be rather average, lacking the distinctive flavors and character one might expect.
One can't help but notice the high prices, which seem to be more about paying for the overall experience rather than the taste itself.
Service left me uncertain; the hostesses who guided us to our table lacked warmth and smiles. Moreover, there was a significant delay in seating us, despite a prior reservation, with no apologies offered.
Inside, it was apparent that some patrons were solely focused on flaunting their wealth, creating an atmosphere that felt rather superficial.
Regrettably, it seemed like we weren't treated the same as those sporting luxury brands, a misconception that doesn't reflect our ability to afford the experience.
While I would recommend giving Coya a try for the unique ambiance and experience, it's important to note that there are better dining options to explore in Mykonos that offer both better cuisine and more...
Read moreI made a reservation at Coya two months in advance and even paid a deposit, expecting a seamless dining experience—but unfortunately, it was a letdown from the start.
When we arrived, we were seated in the non-smoking area, even though we had specifically requested smoking. After informing the staff, we were asked to wait 30 minutes for a smoking table—even though there were clearly empty tables available.
Once finally seated, it took another 20 minutes before a waiter approached us to take our order. The service remained slow throughout the evening. Our food was served before our drinks, which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this level.
As for the atmosphere, it was average—nothing special or memorable.
Overall, the poor service and disorganized experience left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend Coya, especially given how much we looked forward...
