Port of Zakynthos — Attraction in Zakynthos Municipality

The Port of Zakynthos is a wonderful place to visit, offering a wealth of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful scenery and surroundings. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the wide variety of restaurants located in close proximity to the port. Not only were the meals delicious and satisfying, but they were also incredibly affordable. Whether you are looking for a quick bite or a more substantial meal, the restaurants in the area offer a diverse range of options to suit every taste and budget.

What's more, the portion sizes were very generous, making for a filling and satisfying meal. This was particularly important for me, as I wanted to enjoy my time in the area without worrying about my next meal. Whether you prefer seafood, traditional Greek cuisine, or international dishes, there is something for everyone in the nearby restaurants.

Aside from the fantastic dining options, the Port of Zakynthos is also well-known for its efficient ferry service. During my visit, I was impressed by the systematic and organized manner in which vehicles were loaded and unloaded from the ferries. The traffick situation isn't the best, but the overall experience in the port of Zakynthos is very warm and welcoming. Not only are there enough places to get a quick snack but also the vibe amongst this location is very great. The weather is very nice (about 30 °C) with a cool breeze from the sea.

In overal, this is a great recommendation for a holiday visit if you rent an Airbnb or hotel close to, or in, the city.

Why a good review but only 3 stars? Well, although most people here are very pleasant and kind. There are also a lot of idiots driving around in their car or on their motorcycles. So it can also pose to be a dangerous place when visiting. Some people also think they are very cool and want to show off with playing loud music or opening their gas handle with their motorcycles. But these are just petty people and are only a "lesser evil" when it comes...

A small but quite nice and functional port. It mainly serves as the basic port for “Levante Ferries” with which you can get to the island but also for a lot of private owned yachts and smaller ships and boats.

It has the amazing colors in its waters that you’ll find all over Zakynthos. In a small harbor adjacent to the port is where a lot of cruise ships that go around the island have their base spots.
