Ordered food and drink at the bar and gave our name and told to go grab a table and food will come to us. A male waiter by the name of Tibee (skinny with glasses) then approached us 10-15 mins with food but said a completely different name so we wasnt sure if it was our order or not. He went away and came back and his attitude was the rudest ive ever experienced by a member of staff ever, he stated we should know our order and the name was irrelevant, when i challenged him on his behaviour and the rudness he walked away shouting. He didnt want to apologise, he should not be working there deaing with members of the public, whole attitude was wrong. Even members of his OWN work colleagues apologised to me and stated that they always get complaints about him and he actually talks to them like it as well but the manager will not take action against him because he has been there for 12 years and does extra jobs and is a friend. I feel sorry for his colleagues who have to work and put up with him, they are probably scared to speak out. A nice female member of staff subsequently refunded me my money as i refused to eat there.
Overall experience was a negative one, very tiny, not enough staff, small kitchen and that male waiter ruins the whole image of the place.
Hopefully the manager deals with him properly for the sake of the other employees as favouritism should not come into question regardless if he is a friend or does...
Read moreFavorite place in Iceland! Why did we only find this hidden gem on the last day of our trip?! The atmosphere is so cute and comfy cozy. The staff are so warm and friendly and full of smiles and positive attitudes. The food is delicious and they have a great variety of options! Their in-service and carry-out dishes/containers are sustainable packaging. The hours they list are accurate (which we have found that majority of other Icelandic dining establishments don't actually stick to the hours they display). They offer cold/iced beverages all day. They offer alcoholic beverages all day. I could go on and on about how much I loved this place - if I had stumbled upon it sooner I would have gone here every single day of my trip! Definitely recommend the ham and gouda bagel sandwich, the egg salad sandwich, the mozza sandwich, the smokey salmon sandwich, their red wine, mimosas, iced coffee,...
Read moreFirst time I rewrite my review, but they have made very bad changes.
First, they no longer have darker, less sweet bread but only white bread.
Second, Im sure my sandwiche was not grilled on a toaster grill this time but nuked in a MicrosSheffOven, as the cheese was no longer cheesee but just milk, if it was milk...
Third, the first half of the sandwich had no ham, but the other half had smoked ham I did not like.
Staff was friendly as always, and the atmosphere is good. I just do not recommend food here anymore.
Third picture is the new picture :/
This is my review from 1 year ago: Was full house of 5 stars. My favorite for breakfast, lunch and later ;) Next Level Crosant and Coffie, and the Lamb sandwich for Lunch was something else :) Friendly staff and service is above and beyond,...
