Bastard Brew & Food

Bastard Brew & Food offers a brunch experience unlike any other. With 20 brunch menu items served as small tapas plates, it’s the perfect way to explore a wide variety of flavors in one sitting. Each dish is crafted with care, and some standouts for me were the Brisket Taco, the Italian Salad, and the Pulled Pork Taco. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly spiced, and paired beautifully with fresh toppings, while the pulled pork had a smoky sweetness that was absolutely irresistible. The Italian Salad was a refreshing, light contrast, full of crisp greens and fresh Mozzarella bits and a balsamic reduction.

To top it off, the Bloody Mary was exceptional — just the right amount of spice with a bold, savory kick.

What sets Bastard Brew & Food apart is their unique pricing concept. You can opt for unlimited food and drinks, making it ideal for a leisurely, indulgent brunch, or go for the food-only option, which is perfect for designated drivers. With two hours to enjoy, it’s an experience that feels relaxed yet satisfying, giving you plenty of time to explore all the different dishes.

The atmosphere is another highlight. It’s warm and inviting, almost like having brunch in an old library but without the need for silence. The cozy, relaxed vibe makes it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy great food with friends.

Overall, Bastard Brew & Food offers a one-of-a-kind brunch experience that’s both delicious and memorable. Highly...

Went here for our final night on a Saturday having seen there was 20% off food on the Iceland Coupon app (I recommend downloading!), when we first arrived around 6pm for happy hour it was packed with only seating available in the outside smoking area, so we went round the corner for happy hour somewhere else and then returned for food at about half 7 once happy hour had passed and was seated inside fairly promptly. From once we sat down our evening was pure bliss, largely thanks to the waiter Leon. We ordered the beer tasting which he then expertly described with a recommended order for consuming - end result is the Ba*d Hazy was our favourite so we ordered an extra. For food we had the tuna & foie gras and the Korean bbq wings for starter, both delicious but probably preferred the tuna & foie gras. For mains we had 3 tacos each: fish, pulled pork and beef. All superb, the pulled pork being my favourite and the beef for my partner. We finished off with the caramel roll (which is like a cinnamon roll with caramel) and the white chocolate mouse (which is like a key lime pie flavour). Overall delightful, however Leon was really the star, from his attention and professionalism to his witty jokes and charm - a genuine asset to...

Dropped by Bastard Brew & Food for a couple drinks and snacks in the middle of the day. The place is cool, the artwork the have hanging around the place pretty neat. Most of it is tagged with a B, and often the pictures have animal faces placed over human faces. It makes the atmosphere unique. The two brews of theirs we had, the hazy and the amber were solid beers. The hazy is very similar to a good NEIPA. We had the bottomless brunch and really enjoyed the food. The croquet monsenior and the bao burger were our favorites, both were very rich. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, were they fell was the service. We had long waits in between drinks while looking at art that said "Where's my f ...ing beer". I wont include the picture since I cant censor it. We received doubles of some plates we ordered and never received some items we did order. Since the restuarant has some cool branding and art, I think they a missing a major opportunity by not selling logo items, or not make the sale of merch obvious. There were no shirts, stickers or beer for sale, that I could see. I liked the restaurant and the beer, and given the other good reviews regarding service, this place is for sure...

We stopped by Bastard Brew & Food partially because of its funny name but largely as a result of the excellent reviews found here. The place was packed on this Friday evening but luckily we managed to snag a table for two as it wasn't actually reserved until 9pm - so the staff were very helpful on that front. So what a great result that was. We both went for the soft tacos and my but they were excellent. The ceviche one tasted both fresh and a little fiery which was a great combination. Next came the tiger prawns and they proved good and meaty. Finally came some actual meat in the form of crispy chicken and it was a delight. If you're a light eater then probably two tacos will do but if you favour a proper meal then go for three tacos and mix & match across then menu. In addition the beer here is great but if you don't know what to choose then try the tasting option as that really demonstrates the range of beer types on offer. So come here for the name but stay for the food and buzzing atmosphere. Everyone looked to be having a great time and I can see why!
