Szechuan Dragon 🍜
Economical Chinese Cusine in the heart of Hanumanth Nagar. Located behind BMS College. They are on the second floor, above Rolls on the Wheels. I headed weekend afternoon, there were good number of people gathered.
Menu had varities like Soups, Big Bang Theory Special, Appetizers, Salad, Fu Young, Fried Rice, Chow Mein, Gravy, Chop Suey & Desserts & Beverages.
I ordered Veg Manchow Soup Spicy Curd Paneer Veg Mallaca Rice Veg Thupka Dragon's Lair.
• Veg Manchow Soup - This soup is well know to everyone, they serve dry noodles on top of the soup. It was spicy in taste but it was too spicy. I recommend management to serve dry noodles in another cup than serving on the noodles. Even they can concentrate on the taste & spiciness.
• Spicy Curd Panner - It was much like Paneer Manchurian. Paneer was soft. Masala coated to paneer was spicy and good in taste. I recommend this item for Spicy & Paneer Lovers.
• Veg Mallaca Rice - Much like Szechuan Fried Rice. It had secret spices and sauces tossed. It was good in taste.
• Veg Thupka - Chow Mein item form the menu. Soup was spicy and good in taste. Noodles were soft and good in taste. It had much veggie toppings.
• Dragon's Lair - Much like Chinese Dessert. Butterscotch Ice-cream served with Dry noodles. It was unique in taste and good in taste.
Szechuan Dragon is the option in the locality for Chinese Cusine. I want to tell the management to concentrate on the Infrastructure & Washrooms of the restaurant. Food Items & Taste are excellent, even the Infrastructure matters. I wish management all the good luck for upcoming days.
Food - 4/5 Infrastructure - 3/5 Service - 4/5 Cleanliness - 3/5 Ambience -...
Read moreVisited the place after 8 months again and it's very disappointing to know that the quality and taste of the food has gone down. I had given 5 stars for everything last time. Momos were ok ok, veg Lefu fried rice is not good anymore, manchow soup was good, Schezwan noodles was good, paneer starter was ok ok. Experience was very bad, new guy came to take order and later another guy came to take order for drinks. Both of them didn't know what drinks were available. Each one of them told certain drinks were there and not there. Finally 3 waiters were arguing in front of me. I didn't like the experience. Not sure if I should ever go again or not.
8 months ago: Going to this place for more than 10 years now and they have never let me down. I have tried almost everything veg in their menu and all the starters are wondering especially the Schezwan ones. Veg Lefu fried rice is the best rice as well as veg ball Manchurian. Tried with Lefu fried rice and Manchurian last time I visited and the combination was not that great - don't try. Best drink to consider with your meal is mountain dew at this place. The only suggestion that I would give is to change the ambiance, it's been the same for so many years - you got to upgrade or modify. You can make it even...
Read moreI have been to this restaurant for more than 20 times in 5 years of my stay in Bengaluru. It's one of the rarest, easy on wallet Chinese outlet in the city. The food is great. To begin with soups I have tried Chicken Wanton, Chicken Manchow soup which are pretty good. For Appetisers, my personal favourites are Dragon Chicken and Pepper Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken is good and Chilli Basil Chicken is average. The Chicken spring rolls are pathetic though. In main course I once had Chicken in Mushroom and Bamboo Shoots Gravy, which I didn't like as I never developed taste for Bamboo shoots. If you're on a diet and mood for some salad, Chicken Salad with Crispy noodles should be your choice. As for rice, their Chicken Fried rice, Szechuan Fried rice, Mallaca Fried rice are great. My personal favourite is Chilli Garlic Chicken Fried rice. I won't recommend Mixed fried rice because of smell of the stale prawn sometimes. Chilli Garlic Noodles are my absolute favourite in noodles section. Thukpa is just average. In choupsueys, Dragon Choupsuey is my pick. The staff is extremely courteous and prove to quite helpful sometimes while choosing from their wide range. The chef recommended dishes are...
