It honestly makes me a little sad to write this review, because I was very excited about getting my first tattoo and this place came recommended by a friend. I want to share my experience so that others, especially first-timers like me, know what to expect.
The positive side first: my tattoo artist, Amit, was very sweet throughout the process. Although he was late for the appointment, I didnât mind much since I had kept my morning free. The actual tattooing went smoothly, and I am happy with how my tattoo turned out. The studio environment felt comfortable and welcoming.
However, I did feel a little disappointed with how my tattoo experience was handled, especially since this was my very first tattoo. My tattoo was a small one, and I couldnât shake the feeling that it wasnât given the same importance or seriousness as a larger tattoo might have received. I even overheard Amit mentioning to the next client that mine âwould hardly take time,â which made me feel like my tattoo didnât matter as much, even though I was just as excited and invested in it.
The main area where I struggled was with aftercare guidance. At the studio, I was only given very basic and vague instructions (such as avoiding water), with no detailed explanation of what to expect or what to do. Amit was kind enough to respond to me on WhatsApp whenever I had questions, but the answers again felt vague and not very proactive - I only got clarity when I asked specific things. For example, I later found out (on my own) that I shouldnât have gone to the gym, since sweat can affect the healing of a fresh tattoo. I had even messaged Amit saying my protective plastic came off because of gym sweat, but at that time it wasnât clarified to me that gym activity itself should be avoided.
Thankfully, my tattoo healed fine, but I do feel there should be a much clearer, standardized way of communicating aftercare instructions, especially for first-timers - because at the end of the day, a tattoo, no matter how big or small, is still a wound. It can have adverse effects if it gets infected. (Amitâs literal words to me were: âIt was not a concern for your tattoo as it was a small one, I did mention to go easy initiallyâ and âFair enough, I usually tell this to all my clients, maybe I might have skippedâ when I asked about the gym issue. This, to me, showed a lack of accountability or remorse for not mentioning it earlier, and I felt it was taken too lightly.) A simple printed sheet or checklist would really help avoid confusion.
To summarize: I have no complaints about the tattoo itself - Amitâs work was good, and Iâd still say this is a place worth considering. But I do hope the studio takes feedback about clearer aftercare communication seriously, and also ensures that clients with smaller tattoos donât feel any less valued. After all, whether big or small, every tattoo is meaningful to the...

After prolonged research, contemplations and a lot of failed attempts to gather courage, i finally texted Raghav (impressed by his work on IG) to get a tatoo done for myself. On my very first visit to his mesmerising studio,âThe Tattoo Shopâ, i was intrigued by the aura of the place. The ambience of the place really boosted up my confidence level and eased me anxitey as i too was of the notion that it is a hell painful process. Raghav was really welcoming, hospitable and sweet. He was really meticulous in his work paying attention to all the minute details that my tattoo design demanded. The ink used was absolutely organic and equipments were of good standard. Coming to the above mentioned painful experience, trust me if i can get inked then anyone in the world can because i am not a person who is much comfortable with needles and stuff. But yes, if you visit the right artist and land up at the right place, it is goin to be an amazing experience worth a lifetime memory, like the one i had! Considering all the above mentioned, the cost was reasonable, pocket friendly and worth every single penny spent. Overall it was a dream come true for me and an awesome experience. I am looking forward for more much art work inked on meâ¤ď¸ Highly recommended_must visit his studio.Definitely one of the finest studios...
Read moreToday, I got my first ever Ink. I was a little anxious, both of the cost and the constant usual hum of everyone contorting the pain into something torturous. I went alone. But Raghav was quick to respond on Instagram when I reached out to him, he easily made time for me and helped me decide on which idea to go with, costing was reasonable and I didn't mind it at all, the equipment is top grade, the Ink is organic and him and his family have been doing this forever. He has a wall full of his work, photos of people who have swung by. It eased me to also see my friend up there, for all you know you might spot one of your's there too! Given the size and slight complexity of my tattoo, it took a little time, but he was meticulous about it and extremely detailed, he added his own little flair to it as well! The PAIN IS A LIE. I have to admit I have slightly higher tolerance towards pain, and some portions towards the end were wincing, but otherwise besides the pinch and more often than naught tickle, THE PAIN IS A LIE. All in all, Raghav is damn sweet, hospitable and he knows what he is doing and is very approachable for all your questions and queries. I am now going to save up for my next one and most definitely will be getting them done...
