Gupta Brothers is a shop that serves namkeens and sweets and they are purely veg. It has multiple outlets all over Kolkata. This outlet at Bullygunge also serves delicious foods and also has variety of items to serve. Food wise the rating should be good. But the reason behind the poor rating are the staffs and their idle attitude towards serving their customer. All the staffs are pretty much lazy, they will move for any thing only when they want to. They do not care how much the queue is or what the customer is asking repeatedly. They will serve dhoklas without any chutney, cold kachoris, brokenhalf food items etc etc. They will not maintain any higene like masks or not ask the customers to maintain proper distance. If any customer asks for anything they feel burdened to serve him. Few of them loves to argue as well. If you are waiting at the cash queue, it may happen that the person will entertain to some coming late than you because he is previously known to him. So please have enough time when you go there and ask for your item multiple time and do not expect any smile...
Read morePathetic Customers Service. The staffs at the counter kept me waiting for nearly 30 mins. Agree that therr was a rush but couple of the guys were standing ideally. I purchased two boxes of sweets. And the sweets were delivered to me in an ordinary box and in a plain white plastic carry bag (without their brand printed). As if I have bought some fruits from a street hawker. On asking for a proper box (the sweets were to be presented as a gifts), the guy at the counter taunted me ( bill dekhdena). So I just atleast asked for a proper Carry bag. The Arrogant sales person telling to an another sales person, who had packed my sweets. (Kahe de deta hai aise logo ko mithai).
This is really saddening to see that how customers are treated, ones you get famous. The management should check on this.
There are many more good sweet shop in Kolkata.
Congratulations Gupta Brothers you just lost a customer, and many more...
Read moreI told the person behind the till who I assumed was the manager that I am allergic to wheat flour (gluten) and milk. After explaining this meant I could not have any mithai with ghee or butter in he politely explained that he had some which I could eat which I was very happy with.
I returned the next day to ask about how they made the mithai when the manager accidentally said he used ghee, when I pressed him on this as he had told me they did not yesterday he insisted it was butter not ghee, he also promised me there was no butter. This is unacceptable.
This store sold me food I am allergic to knowing I am allergic. Someone with a more serious allergy could be left seriously ill by an establishment that...
