I stayed here during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday for 3D2N in a Deluxe Twin Bedroom with breakfast.|This is an old hotel that has served as a witness to significant events, such as the Asian-African Conference in 1955. Even Charlie Chaplin stayed here in the 1930s.|The room was spacious — we added an extra bed and it still didn’t feel cramped. The staff were polite and courteous, and the check-in/out process was swift. A deposit of 100K rupiah in cash was required for an additional room key card.|The room itself clearly shows its age but was fairly clean. The air conditioning was cold, and the water temperature worked well. However, there was no partition /curtain between bathtub, causing water to splash everywhere.|The cable TV was adequate, with enough movie channels, although we rarely watched TV nowadays. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, especially during nighttime.|The highlights of this hotel are definitely its location and its breakfast. The breakfast was tasty, offering a wide variety of dishes, and the food was continuously replenished until the end of breakfast hours.|The restaurant was also very beautiful, featuring a high glass ceiling like a garden glass-house. However, I recommend avoiding seats near the kitchen area, as it was a bit unkempt and had an odd smell.|The location is very central. If you are staying during a long holiday and do not plan to explore the surrounding area, it may not be ideal due to heavy traffic jams.|The kids' pool was also a highlight of our stay. It’s semi-indoor and has warm water. My 5-year-old niece really made the most of the facilities here :)|One point to improve: they really need to pay more attention to providing extra amenities for rooms with an extra bed. They kept forgetting to add extra water bottles and, worse, sometimes did not return the our extra towels.|The parking area was spacious, but as the hotel was fully booked during the long holiday, if you returned after 7 PM, you were expected to leave your car key with security since the cars needed to be stacked in the back area.|Another nice touch: the hotel has staff who offer to clean your car in the morning.|Overall, this hotel offers the warm hospitality of a classic five-star hotel from the...

We chose Savoy Homann for its iconic Art Deco architecture and rich history — and it truly felt like stepping back in time. The elegant design, vintage charm, and sense of old-world grandeur are what make this hotel unique.||We especially enjoyed the coffee bar, which had a great selection of cakes and pastries. The breakfast was excellent, served in a beautiful open dining hall with many locals — a good sign! There was plenty of variety, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.||However, the room was disappointing. We were given a room without a window, facing an indoor courtyard, which made it very dark and gloomy. It was hard to find the light switch, and overall the room felt a bit neglected. There was no toilet paper, and when we asked, we were given a very small roll. The safe was broken, and it took three visits from staff to resolve the issue. The cleanliness was also not up to standard.||The swimming pool looked nice, but we felt uncomfortable using it as all other guests were swimming in modest, full-coverage swimwear, and we didn’t have anything similar with us. It’s something to keep in mind depending on your swimwear preferences.||We were told by reception that rooms with windows face the busy main road, and that’s why we were advised against them — but in hindsight, we would have preferred a window and natural light despite the street noise.||There was a noticeable damp or musty smell in some areas of the hotel, though this might be common in Bandung’s humid climate.||On the plus side, the location is fantastic — walking distance to shops and local attractions.||In short: stay for the history and atmosphere, enjoy the food and location, but opt for a room with a window, and don’t expect...

We booked an Executive Room for a night. Our room was one the first floor, located in the Asia-Afrika Wing. I love how spacious the room was, with a living area and a big balcony overlooking the Asia Afrika Street. The room preserved its art-deco interior and the furniture were dated but some of them were the originals from the 30s, and in fact, I like it. The Wi-Fi was not password-protected so I guess anyone can just wander around the premises and use the hotel's Wi-Fi for free. The bathroom was quite big, with a separate shower area and a long bath tub. Some amenities needed improvement but overall, the room itself was beautiful. The downside of staying in the Asia Afrika Wing was the noise from the traffic light button sound. The room itself was not well sound-proofed so at night, we can hear those beeps from the traffic light. Quite annoying.

We got to visit the historical Bung Karno Suite. It was a Homann Suite on the second floor, comprising two bedrooms, a separate living and dining area, and an opulent master bath with a jacuzzi and his-and-hers sinks. Too bad I forgot to take the photos of the suite.

The restaurant area was the Palm Court of the premises, looking pretty with palm trees and verandah cafe-style table sets. Our breakfast was good. Nothing was super special though, but it was decent.

I visited the Sidewalk Cafe a couple times. The cafe had windows overlooking Asia Afrika Street and was so quiet. There was a grand piano I played two times, once at night and another time in the morning, after the breakfast (the staff let me play it).

Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Savoy Homann and would love to...
