They presents a remarkable "one-stop visit" concept, transforming a vast expanse of land in the city center into a tropical forest escape. This unique use of Bandung's prime land space is a defining feature, a natural serene contrast to the urban landscape of the surrounding.
Despite the size, the place is packed with visitors on a weekend night. We are put on a waiting list for 10 minutes before being directed to our seats. Because of this and their location in the middle of crowded Asia Africa street, we choose to use ride hailing instead of driving here. The establishment's extensive menu, featuring hundreds of items, is a testament to its comprehensive offerings. They have at least three separate kitchens and from there managed to offer a diverse culinary selection, ranging from classic Indonesian dishes to modern fusions.
From my recent visit, I ordered: Indonesian rice sets such as Nasi Khas Hutanika and Nasi Bakar Telor Asin, and creative pasta dishes like Spaghetti Alfredo Gochujang and Creamy Pasta Baked Pot. Both was delicious, and well priced. The beverage menu is equally varied, with refreshing choices such as Strawberry Juice, and mocktails: Lychee Mojito, Virgin Mary, and Out of This World (non-alcoholic Mai Tai). The beautiful presentation of these drinks and dishes elevate the dining experience.
Beyond food, Hutanika is a hub of activities. It houses a boxing arena, billiard tables, gelato store and a playground for children. The well-designed space have some beautiful photo spots, including a charming outdoor area with a fountain and a pond that creates a calming ambiance. The atmosphere is further elevated by live music on weekends, starting from...
Read moreCame here for dinner and a little reunion with my best friends. We went on a Saturday night and since we already made a reservation, we got a table.
Even though it was the weekend, the place still felt comfortable (not overcrowded even when it was busy) thanks to the well-thought-out layout & setting!
The atmosphere is super homey and lush, making it such a warm spot to spend quality time with loved ones.
Service? TOP—every staff member was polite and SUPER FRIENDLY!! The cleanliness, comfort, and overall area are just excellent. Hutanika is also very kids-friendly and wheelchair-friendly.
As for the food—no doubt, everything was delicious, from local Indonesian dishes to Western options. With the quality and facilities you get, it’s definitely WORTH THE MONEY (though this time I was treated, haha). If you ask whether I’d come back to Hutanika? Definitely YES!!
One small note about the food: my husband and I tried the “Blackberry Cream Cheese” pizza. We were expecting the cream cheese to be more like the soft, cake-style version instead of savory pizza cheese, and it turned out to be a really unique taste! Both of us actually liked it, but we’d probably go for the more general pizza flavors next time.

Read moreVisited Hutanika, a food complex located in a prime spot on Jalan Asia Afrika, right in the heart of Bandung. From the outside, it might not look that big—but step inside, and you’ll find a surprisingly spacious and beautifully designed area. There’s ample parking, tranquil ponds, and lush greenery everywhere. It’s honestly such a refreshing hidden oasis in the middle of the bustling city.
The setup is convenient—Hutanika hosts a variety of food stalls and restaurants, but the service is centralized, so you can order from different vendors all at once. We tried Nasi Bebek Penyet, which was incredibly flavorful, Bihun Bakso that was warm and comforting, and Chicken Popcorn as a crispy, tasty side. Everything we tried was great!
What makes it even more special is the excellent price-to-value ratio. Considering the quality of service, the cozy atmosphere, and the rare green space in the middle of the city, it’s really worth it. Another plus—Hutanika opens early at 07.00, which is quite rare for a food complex like this. Some vendors already serve breakfast, making it a great option for early risers.
All in all, a lovely experience—calm, green, and delicious. One of the best finds in...
