So, this is honestly a surprisingly fantastic steakhouse with a shockingly reasonable pricing. I went into the establishment and was immediately fascinated by the 1980's style classic look interior. It really feels like i am in a fancy bistro from the olden days. Btw, i visit this steakhouse as it went viral on instagram and i had to try it. Now let's grade the food:
Appetizer: Foie Gras with Brioche and berry sauce. This was a combination of things that i had my doubts in because it's just bizzare to have a savoury dish (the foie gras) to be put in the same plate as a sweet dish (the bread and sweet berry sauce with caramelized onion). BUT, after trying it i was immediately surprised by the fact that the whole sweet & savoury combination had surprisingly worked! The sweetness of the sauce really cuts down the richness of the foie gras perfectly and the rest of the dish just compliments it and took the foie gras to another level.
Entree: Prime Denver Steak: Now, THIS is what every single reviewer that comes to this steakhouse is excited about since it is what they're known for. And i am happy to report that this steak surpass my expectations. The meat was so juicy, tender and it literally melted in my mouth and i also like the blue cheese sauce that comes with it and stir fried mushrooms as a side. My one gripe though are that the potatoes were a little burnt and could use with a tad more salt and pepper but overall it's a fantastic and shockingly affordable piece of wagyu! Norwegian Salmon with Carrot Purée and Lemon Butter sauce: This is another great dish. The salmon is cooked to perfection with crisp skin and the sides compliment it very well and cooked perfectly. I especially like the carrot puree combined with the salmon. Roasted Chicken: This again is another great accomplishment that this restaurant has. The chicken was so juicy and the rest of the sides just compliments it very well. Dessert: Deconstructed Coconut Mango panna Cotta: I was honestly expecting a coconut panna cotta with mango sauce but what i got was a delicious ice cream with mango dish that stands out from all of the other desserts that i have in the past in presentation and taste on which is complex and i also really like the subtle hints of salt throughout the dish.
Overall this experience has been fantastic for me and shoutout to the waiter on which he's very nice to all three of us and explains on what are the details of dishes that all the three of us...
Read moreWe tried the All You Can Eat Steak at High Table, SCBD Park last Saturday (Sept 13) and it was such an experience! They have 3 sessions for the AYCE, and we got the last one at 3 PM – 4.30 PM (90 minutes).
There are two packages: Strip Loin 288K++ Rib Eye 349K++ (sadly this was sold out when we came, we actually wanted to try both).
For drinks, I had the Peach Garden mocktail, super refreshing, with a fun twist of jelly filled with liquid peach. Loved it!
The rules are pretty straightforward: you can add steak as long as you finish your steak and the side dishes first. Sides include French fries (included) and potato purée (add 20K). For sauces, they have mushroom (included) or mushroom truffle (add 20K).
We went for medium doneness, but my steak came twice a bit overcooked, and my friend also got one overcooked steak. The rest were fine though. We both managed to go for 4 rounds each!
Overall, for an All You Can Eat steak, it’s really worth trying! The concept is fun, the price point is good, and you definitely leave full and satisfied. Would recommend if you’re a steak...
Read moreMy first experience here wasn’t very good. Initially, we wanted to order the flat iron steak with additional sides and sauce. The waiter said that the flat iron price was different with the one on the menu, like how come?? :( but then he recommended another menu priced at Rp 475.000/ 100 grams, which already included sides, beverages, and dessert. Not on the menu, but we ended up ordering 400 grams with high expectations for a flavorful steak.
When the food arrived, the presentation was quite interesting, but the taste was way below our expectations. The steak was bland and standard, definitely not worth the price. Also, we had asked to cancel one of the orders of side dishes, but it was still prepared anyway, so we were forced to keep it.
Sorry, but I won’t be revisiting. The waiter was too pushy with upselling, and the food was just okay — not memorable at all considering the very high price. I can find better value...
