Yongdaeri Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Jakarta

So disappointed. Reserve the Private room that comes with karaoke, and asked 300k for deposit. Reserve at 8:30 ok we got the room but no information at all else than MINIMUM Spend and deposit.

Comin on tuesday night around 8:30 to celebrate farewell with co workers. Didn’ receive any information about time limit at all. Greeted with cockroaches on our seat. Didn’t complaint about it. we just ask server in charge to help us clean up the cockroaches. Was fulfilling all the min.spend requirement. And suddenly at 9:20, server come and inform us that we should leave this place asap as they will close soon. Our food just arrived, not even half finish.....

Ask the manager to come and negotiate for extra 15mins but got nihil. He was rude and leaving the place rudely “30 menit lagi yah terimakasih” turn around and leave just like that. Soooooo unpolite. We told them that we didn’t even finish our food yet, and it just arrived? 9:25 they ask us to pay THE BILL NOW. We just cant enjoy our food or having our private time. I ask wherher we can pay later at 10pm but they are insist.

Start 9:40 onwards, the server keep comin every 5minutes ask us to leave... really. Every 3-5mins they keep coming.... ITS NOT EVEN 22:00 and they keep asking us to leave. We feel absolutely annoyed and would never come back to this awful service provided.....👎🏻

It will be totally different story if we was told at the beginning or the manager gave us extra at least just 10mins... and of course not disturb our time by coming every 5mins asking for bill and ask us to leave...... never experience this kind of treatment.

So we leave the place by 22:03. And when We stepped out. Everyone was giving us a hate look and not even saying thanks. Last but not least, the manager immediately close the main door when my friend step out from the resto. What an attitude.

Hahahaha! We used to be excited when we first come. But I’ll definitely remember this place as a worsttttttttttttttttt place to hang ever....

It’s been a while since I have an authentic Korean meal here in Jakarta. So, I was really happy when my friends took me here to try their delicious meal. So here goes, my friend recommended trying the following meal: Jogepang & bbq bokem This one is fried bread with stir fried bbq pork meat. They served us hot fried bread, we are the one who put the meat inside the bread. They even provided us with plastic hand gloves to make it easier to eat the delicious bread. And just so you know, this is our appetizer. Yummy, huh?

Hwangtae Gim Chobap Seaweed dried Pollock sushi, the only thing that makes me forget that I’m on a diet. The filling is so many and delicious too. Make sure to open your mouth very wide to swallow it. Cham Samgyeopsal & Deji Galbi Both pork, obviously… we grilled them and eat with various vegetables and garlic . So delicious to the very last bite.

Haemul denjang jigiae Soybean paste stew with seafood, a hot soup for you to have during this rainy season.

Jek Seok Teok Po Ki We asked for the spicy one, but I can say that for my taste, this is not too spicy. But if you can’t handle spicy food, perhaps you better inform the waitress about it.

As for dessert we have rice crackers, iced coffee milk and yoghurt.

Due to the pandemic, the restaurant makes sure to check temperature from all the visitors before entering to dine in. People can’t sit too close to one another; you may sit outside or inside. They also provide private room if you don’t want to be disturbed. All staffs on duty wearing masks and gloves. The really have strict protocol due to the pandemic, but they are still able to serve us warmly. FYI, you need to register at least one name to the restaurant, if you dine in with groups. And I also recommend to make reservation before...

Tried out this KBBQ during a public holiday. It was quite packed although guests can come & do walk-ins. But it’s also better to book ahead table ahead of time, with minimum spend applicable for private rooms. The restaurant also offers free valet parking as it can be quite difficult to find a parking spot. And just an FYI, this restaurant offers different types of meat including beef & pork so be mindful of your dietary requirements. As like any other KBBQ place, they offer free flowing banchan. And i just love the corn pancake!! Salad was also fresh and the sauce was light. For additional side dish, got the Sogogi Japchae (stir fried glass noodle with veggies & beef), Mandu Gyoja (fried veggies dumpling), & Saeu Buchujeon (shrimp & leek pancake). All were done nicely and it was well seasoned. Just a slight issue because the saeu buchujeon took slightly longer time to serve than the others. As for the meat, got almost everything from the beef menu. But what truly stands out for me was the Jek Seok Yangnyeom Gui and Yangnyeom Galbi. The marinade absorbed really well into the meat. And goes well when dipped into the salt & sesame oil mix. As for the other beef parts, all was very fresh with high quality ingredients. Another thing that I loved was that, the team can cook our meat in their own kitchen. Each beef cuts was done according to our preference which resulting in juicy & tender grilled meat. And don’t forget to get a bit of grilled garlic & onion as well. Upon finishing our meal, they also gave free dessert that we can choose. There was frozen yogurt and iced coffee. The service and team were really good which is always a plus point. Definitely will be coming...
