Flowey SCBD — Restaurant in Jakarta

[UNPLEASANT STORY PLS READ]

I visited this restaurant on November 2, 2024, from around 18:00 to 19:40. The staff was quite nice and informative, letting us know upfront that we had a 90-minute limit for the table, which we agreed to. They also reminded us several times that the table was booked for another guest at 19:45.

The unpleasant experience started at around 19:30 when we were reminded again about the reservation, which was fine since we had already finished our meal. However, at 19:37, a couple entered the restaurant and immediately began yelling near our table (which was close to the main entrance). The man loudly shouted, “INI GIMANA SIH?!” (Translated: "What’s going on here?!"), while the woman kept staring at us. The man then approached the staff angrily, frustrated that we were still seated.

It was still within our allotted time (19:40), and we were in the process of asking the staff for the bill when the couple stood directly in front of us, folding their arms and glaring, making us feel very uncomfortable. Their behavior was completely unacceptable, especially since we were still within the agreed time. Even after we left the restaurant, they continued staring and shooing us as we walked out.

This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The couple seemed very familiar with the staff, which maderr me think they might be managers or owners of the place. HOWEVER, this still does not justify such rude and impolite behavior...

I didn't want to write this review publicly lah, but since my message didn't seem to translate well via chat might aswell. I am also writing this because the service is known to be good so I don't know why they messed up this time. I am highly disappointed in the service level by the staffs here. There are no coordination between the marketing team and the hosting team. First of all, I booked more than a week in advance which I believe is enough time to prepare for the visit. Surely you'd expect everything will be settled when you arrive a week later. I came in and no host actually greeted us for the appointment and they gave us a separate table. I booked for 11 people (IN ADVANCE) and they gave us two tables for 4 people each, I told them it's unacceptable, and no staff actually listened to my inquiry, they only listened one sentence at a time and then passed it on to someone else. I have to explain three separate times. They offered to move the table WHEN PEOPLE ARE ALREADY EATING, have some sense will you? You could've moved the table first before you served the food. By the end of it the team leader offered me a cake as a complimentary as if that aids the inconvenience somehow. All I'm saying is, I'm super disappointed with the service level, and no, I don't want a cake. Just accept the fact that you messed up, since no one actually admitted to it and didn't explain why it could even happen. I hope this never happens again to another excited customer in...

A very great place to have brunch & lunch especially when the sun is out. The place is also very aesthetic, good for pic 👌🏼 Food came out relatively quick and the service is pretty good (just a minor reservation misunderstanding but was fixed right away).

Yuzu Seafood Tempura 🌟 [MUST TRY] The tempura was cooked perfectly (meaty seafood, not too much crumbs) and the yuzu sauce is subtle, giving the right amount of sweet and acidity.

Truffle Sliders 🌟 [MUST TRY] The mushroom is so juicy and umami paired with nicely made soft bao buns

Truffle Mushroom Pizza Perfect ratio of cheese and mushroom 👌🏼 and as expected from sourdough pizza, very soft and chewy just how i like it to be!

Wagyu Brisket Fried Rice You can taste the smoky brisket juice mixed very well with the fried rice. Would love to have more of the brisket meat in it though 🫰🏼

Chicken Cordon Bleu The chicken is juicy and the cheese melted perfectly (still oozes out)!
